THE DEFENSE & AEROSPACE FORUM - 2 0 2 0 -

WITH SPECIAIL GUEST U . S . CONGRESSEMAN MICHAEL TURNER

HOSTED BY Welcome

To the Panelists and Participants at the 2020 Ohio Defense Forum:

Thank you for attending the fifth annual Ohio Defense and Aerospace Forum.

Ohio is important to our national defense, and today’s virtual event focuses on Ohio’s continual growing contributions to national security. We are excited and pleased that we are joined by all corners of our state.

Four years ago, along with the DDC, I created the Ohio Defense Forum to discuss the future of defense in the state. In the time since our first forum, threats to our national security have grown in number and in force. Adversarial countries like Russia, China, and North Korea continue to develop weapons and tactics that threaten the safety of American troops and civilians. Ohio is home to 10 military installations, so the state plays an important role in mitigating these threats. I look forward to discussing how we, as defense leaders, can optimize Ohio’s ability to support the national defense through research, technology, intelligence and industry.

Thank you to the Dayton Development Coalition for hosting this event again. Additionally, I would like to thank all the panelists and participants for contributing to Ohio’s ongoing commitment a common defense strategy.

Sincerely,

Congressman Michael R. Turner (OH-10)
