Condell Park Baseball started - playing out of Deverall Park now known as Kinch Reserve The club founding patron was the then Alderman Ern Vine 1976.. The club founding patron was the then Alderman Ern Vine Condell Park Club moves to Boggabilla Reserve Bass Hill 1977 ... Garry Harvey and Tommy Cain had sons playing with Condell Park Soccer club and had the idea that some of . the boys might like to play teeball. Betty and Roy White became involved with the club.There were only three age groups in those days Under 10, Under 13 and Under 15. The only other clubs in Bankstown were: Canterbury, East Hills and Berala Bears. The people on the committee in those early days were Judy and Albert Hayward, Alice and Reg Podbury, Beryl and Tom Cain, Fay and Morrie Brennan and Bev and Garry Harvey. 1981... ..Barnier family joined the club 1982- .. Graham Barnier and Danny Dawes (now in Queensland) and Paul Abrahams (now plays Castle Hill) joined the Club. 1983-... Cheryl Barnier joined the Condell Park committee 1985…. 10 year anniversary of the Condell Park Baseball club 1986-… John Barnier was in the NSW team (Coached by Russell Proudfoot) played in National Pony League . competition in Tasmania 1986- … Roy White received the Bankstown Junior Sports Person Award in the same year that Steve Waugh won the Bankstown Sports star of the Year award. 1987- …Jill Barber State member for Bankstown elected as Club Patron Garry Harvey (and other experts) had a regular spot on local radio station 2BCR FM on Saturday mornings Under 16 district side played 1st night game against Newcastle 17th October 1987 Condell Park conducted Show me Days (players moved around 5 stations). I think they call it Tryball those days. Approval for Condell Park Club pays for scorers and umpires to join respective NSW associations. Cleats approved for Under 14 age group. Western Suburbs Major league approved to use Boggabilla Reserve. Condell Park share the cost ($3,175 total) of the pitching tunnel 1988-... Jill Barber State member For Bankstown elected Club Patron Under 16 State Cup (then only a one weekend tournament) at Boggabilla on the long weekend in October Bankstown Umpires Association formed. Under 16 State Cup weekend at Boggabilla Reserve October 1988. Leather baseballs compulsory in all age groups in Bankstown Association games. Gary Harvey nominated into Bankstown District “Hall of Fame”. Paul Barnier coached an Under 9 team that included? Condell Park nominates Cheryl Barnier as President of Bankstown District. Michael Stephens acquired highest marks in umpire exams. Condell Park Baseball Club officially changed its name to Mustangs Baseball Association. This was done for geographics of where we are trying to sign players. We play at Bass Hill and our name says Condell Park. We needed to change for the longevity of the club.     STEM Community Partnerships Program Canterbury Bankstown local scenario Water The Canterbury Bankstown local government area is bounded three main catchment areas, with water flowing into the Cooks, Georges and Parramatta rivers. These catchments provide important habitat to many fauna and flora species in the area. Water is important in maintaining the biodiversity of this area and the community will benefit from managing this well. Damage to the natural waterways has increased due to increasing urbanisation, particularly with the growth of high-density dwellings. Research conducted by the City of Canterbury Bankstown estimates that 95% of the contaminant load of the waterways is from stormwater runoff. This affects the health and safety of the residents, as well as impacting on local flora and fauna. Council is implementing best practice management guidelines and education for the community. Council has also implemented numerous initiatives to support sustainability of the waterways, local community members can volunteer with Bushcare, Cooks River Alliance or the Georges River Combined Councils Committee (GRCCC). The Council is a member of the Georges Riverkeeper which is seeking to have a cleaner catchment from reducing litter, regenerating bush and being an advocate for natural resource management. Council has also partnered with Sydney Water to reduce floating litter on the Cooks River. Litter boom traps have been installed at Boat Harbour, Hurlstone Park and Fifth Ave, Campsie. The one-way gate at the opening of the collection prevents the escape of trapped debris. The trap is inspected and serviced weekly to remove the litter, booms can capture 15-18m3 of litter per week.
