Brief History of Mustangs Baseball Club 1975 ... Condell Park Baseball started - playing out of Deverall Park now known as Kinch Reserve The club founding patron was the then Alderman Ern Vine 1976.. Garry Harvey and Tommy Cain had sons playing with Condell Park Soccer club and had the idea that some of . the boys might like to play teeball. Betty and Roy White became involved with the club.There were only three age groups in those days Under 10, Under 13 and Under 15. The only other clubs in Bankstown were: Canterbury, East Hills and Berala Bears. The people on the committee in those early days were Judy and Albert Hayward, Alice and Reg Podbury, Beryl and Tom Cain, Fay and Morrie Brennan and Bev and Garry Harvey. 1981... ..Barnier family joined the club 1982- .. Graham Barnier and Danny Dawes (now in Queensland) and Paul Abrahams (now plays Castle Hill) joined the Club. 1983-... Cheryl Barnier joined the Condell Park committee 1985…. 10 year anniversary of the Condell Park Baseball club 1986-… John Barnier was in the NSW team (Coached by Russell Proudfoot) played in National Pony League . competition in Tasmania 1986- … Roy White received the Bankstown Junior Sports Person Award in the same year that Steve Waugh won the Bankstown Sports star of the Year award. 1987- …Jill Barber State member for Bankstown elected as Club Patron Garry Harvey (and other experts) had a regular spot on local radio station 2BCR FM on Saturday mornings Under 16 district side played 1st night game against Newcastle 17th October 1987 Condell Park conducted Show me Days (players moved around 5 stations). I think they call it Tryball those days. Approval for Condell Park Club pays for scorers and umpires to join respective NSW associations. Cleats approved for Under 14 age group. We play at Bass Hill and our name says Condell Park. We needed to change for the longevity of the club.
