Mrs. Eglantina Bakiu, Legal Advisor of Appeal Chamber

Mrs. Eglantina Bakiu (Lala) graduated in Law from “Aristotel” University in Thessaloniki, in 2003. Mrs. Bakiu successfully completed postgraduate studies in University College London, and was awarded LLM (Master of Law), Corporate Law in 2009.

Mrs. Eglantina Bakiu records 14 years of professional experience by public and private sector. Recruited as staff member by the Ministry of Justice in 2004, Mrs. Bakiu had 8 years experience, serving for the first two years as foreign affairs expert and afterwards as legal expert at the Legislation and Legal Assistance Directory by the General Directorate of Codification.

Mrs. Bakiu work experience in the private sector dates back in March 2012, where she started working for the airline company, “. From October 2013 to September 2015, Mrs. Bakiu worked for “British American Tobacco-” was their Corporate, Regulatory Affairs and Legal Manger of Adriatic and Southern Balkans Business Unit covering Albania, , Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and FYROM. From January 2016 to July 2017, Mrs. Bakiu has been hired as Senior Legal Counsel by ABKONS sh.p.k., offering a wide range of consultancy services in several industry sectors including Public Administration. In November 2016, Mrs. Bakiu co-funded a Law Firm, she administered until January 2018.

Mrs. Bakiu is licensed “Advocate” and is a member of National Advocacy Chamber of Albania from 2013.

Mrs. Bakiu is fluent in English, Greek and Italian.

Mrs. Eglantina Bakiu joined the Appeal Chamber of the Constitutional Court as Legal Advisor in January 2018.
