AFI KLM E&M partners with WestJet for GEnx support

Canadian airline WestJet entrusts maintenance of its fleet of GEnx engines to AFI KLM E&M.

Paris, Amstelveen, 10 April 2019 – AFI KLM E&M and WestJet have inked a Letter Of Intent to sign a contract for maintenance and support for the GEnx engines equipping the Canadian carrier’s fleet of 10 787-9s. AFI KLM &M will monitor WestJet’s GEnx fleet using its Prognos for Engine data analysis and predictive maintenance system. This is the first major contract between the two groups.

Competitiveness and expertise With its dual profile as an MRO and an airline operating the GEnx, AFI KLM E&M has developed a very high level of operational and technical know-how around the new-generation powerplant. Its expertise and MRO capabilities cover every aspect of GEnx overhaul and maintenance, from overhaul and test services to on-wing/on-site support, not to mention repairs to engine parts and assemblies.
