FLORAL CREATIONS from Rewi Street Kindergarten children. [email protected].

The annual Te Awamutu Rose Show has been the inspiration for a flower show of their own for Rewi Street Kindergarten children for a number of years. The children visit the Rose Show next door to the kindergarten in St Pat’s Hall and exactly a week later stage their own show. The children and teachers all bring flowers to share and then each child makes a sand saucer for the display. This year they had so many lovely flowers, many of them also ended up displayed in vases. The children had handed out invitations to their families and people at the Rose Show, so they had lots of visitors in the afternoon who admired theirs work. Christmas Staff and residents from San Michele also visited for the second year and the children gave a small concert with some playing instruments. Each child received a certificate in recognition of their participation in the day.
