PRESS RELEASE WEBEDIA AND BANIJAY IBERIA LAUNCH “TOP GAMERS ACADEMY” THE FIRST REALITY TV SHOW DEDICATED TO GAMING Levallois-Perret, Wednesday 14th, October

This new gaming program that showcases the biggest in Spain for the very first time was successfully launched last Sunday 4th, October on the Spanish TV channel Neox and on digital platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.

s part of the development of the Webedia group production activities - the first international French media group dedicated to recreation industries and online entertainment - Webedia Spain co-produced with the A Gestmusic label of Banijay Iberia, “Top Gamers Academy” the first program of reality TV dedicated to gaming. The show has been broadcasted in prime time on the Spanish channel Neox, the first thematic channel of Astresmedia (Spanish audiovisual group) for the Millennials and on the internet via Twitch, Youtube and on Atresmedia digital channels (Flooxer, Atresplayer Premium). This program is the first competitive video game format designed for all audiences.

For 8 weeks, 21 candidates are joining the "Top Gamers Academy" and are competing as teams on different gaming challenges in total autarky. Participants are coached and supervised by the best gamers and YouTubers in Spain, such as Rubius (38.7 million subscribers on Youtube), WillyRex (15.8 million) and TheGrefg (15.1 million).

The winner of the show will win a contract with esport brands to become a professional gamer.

Top Gamers Academy is broadcasted live every Sunday in prime time and also proposes a 10-minute summary of the daily life and personal development of all participants.

Launched last Sunday 4th, October on the Spanish channel Neox, Top Gamers Academy has reached up to 1.2 million viewers, a large audience that exceeds the daily average of the TV channel by 14%. On social media, the show generated more than 16.4K tweets and even became second on the Twitter trends with the hashtag #TopGamersNeox.

On the internet, the show that broadcasts 1200 hours of content is also a great success on the digital channels of Atresmedia. On the Twitch and Youtube channels, the program is streamed 24/7 and has already accumulated

369K subscribers, +70K compared to last week. Overall, more than 6 million viewers followed the show on the Twitch and YouTube channels.
