Revised versions of the Appendices have been posted on the CMS website in English. French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian are being prepared and will be posted as soon as they become available. The species added to the Appendices at COP11 are set out in the attached table. In addition to the species added by COP11, the revised Appendices also take into account changes in the taxonomy and nomenclature of already listed species consequent to the adoption by COP11 through Resolution 11.19 of a new standard reference for non-Passerine bird species. The sequence of some taxa was also re-ordered according to the relevant standard reference. http://www.cms.int/en/news/notifications UNEP/CMS Secretariat * United Nations Premises in Bonn * Platz der Vereinten Nationen 1 53113 Bonn, Germany * Tel (+49 228) 815 2426 * Fax (+49 228) 815 2449 E-Mail: [email protected] Website: www.cms.int -2- ANNEX Appendix I MAMMALIA CETACEA Ziphiidae Cuvier’s Beaked Whale Ziphius cavirostris Mediterranean subpopulations ARTIODACTYLA Bovidae Red-fronted Gazelle Eudorcas rufifrons AVES GRUIFORMES Otididae Great Bustard Otis tarda CHARADRIIFORMES Scolopacidae Semi-palmated Sandpiper Calidris pusilla Great Knot Calidris tenuirostris CORACIIFOPRMES Coraciidae European Roller Coracias garrulus PISCES PRISTIFORMES Pristidae Narrow sawfish Anoxypristis cuspidata Dwarf sawfish Pristis clavata Smalltooth sawfish Pristis pectinata Green sawfish Pristis zijson Largetooth sawfish Pristis pristis -3- MYLIOBATIFORMES Myliobatidae Reef Manta Ray Manta alfredi Giant Devil Ray Mobula mobular Spinetail Devil Ray Mobula japanica Bentfin Devil Ray Mobula thurstoni Box Ray Mobula tarapacana Pygmy Devil Ray Mobula eregoodootenkee Shortfin Devil Ray Mobula kuhlii Atlantic Devil Ray Mobula hypostoma Lesser Guinean Devil Ray Mobula rochebrunei Munk’s Devil Ray Mobula munkiana Appendix II MAMMALIA CARNIVORA Ursidae Polar Bear Ursus maritimus ARTIODACTYLA Bovidae White-eared Cob Kobus kob leucotis AVES PASSERIFORMES Parulidae Canada Warbler Cardellina canadensis PISCES ELASMOBRANCHII CARCHARHINIFORMES Carcharhinidae Silky Shark Carcharhinus falciformis -4- Sphyrnidae Great Hammerhaed Shark Sphyrna mokarran Scalloped Hammerhead Shark Sphyrna lewini LAMNIFORMES Alopiidae Bigeye thresher Alopias superciliosus Common thresher Alopias vulpinus Pelagic thresher Alopias pelagicus PRISTIFORMES Pristidae Narrow sawfish Anoxypristis cuspidata Dwarf sawfish Pristis clavata Smalltooth sawfish Pristis pectinata Green sawfish Pristis zijson Largetooth sawfish Pristis pristis MYLIOBATIFORMES Myliobatidae Reef Manta Ray Manta alfredi Giant Devil Ray Mobula mobular Spinetail Devil Ray Mobula japanica Bentfin Devil Ray Mobula thurstoni Box Ray Mobula tarapacana Pygmy Devil Ray Mobula eregoodootenkee Shortfin Devil Ray Mobula kuhlii Atlantic Devil Ray Mobula hypostoma Lesser Guinean Devil Ray Mobula rochebrunei Munk’s Devil Ray Mobula munkiana ACTINOPTERI ANGUILLIFORMES Anguillidae European eel Anguilla anguilla .
