BACKGROUND

In January 2019, IDPs displaced from the Deim Zubeir community their return to Deim Zubeir. CCCM then coordinated with partners residing in the Protection of Civilian Area Adjacent to UNMISS to provide an assisted voluntary return package. The package (PoCAA) site approached humanitarian partners requesting support consisted of a cash grant for each household to support with the to return to their former residences. IOM CCCM took the lead in cost of transport, which was distributed in the PoCAA at the end of coordinating partners to enable this group to transition out of the PoC March. Families were also informed that they would receive seasonal and reach their homes in the time for planting season. Phase 7: Follow Up

“In the PoCAA, I was depending fully on humanitarian assistance and everything was provided free, but I wasn’t happy with that because I can- not generate income to plan for future of my family,” he added.

Mr. Simon* currently is making local stoves made from iron sheet, to gen- erate income to improve his live. He is just like many returnees who are doing their best to reintegrate to their communities. He explained that after his return he sheltered with his family but after receiving Non- food items from IOM.
