JJ Overton (7.2 ppg.) and Trey Woodbury (7.2 ppg.) are back after combining to score an average of 14.4 points per game last season. UVU received 74 points in the media poll to finish sixth. The Wolverines received 28 points in the coaches’ poll for the seventh spot. NM State earned the top spot in both polls. He is just the third head coach in UVU’s Division I history. Madsen took over the Utah Valley program last season after serving the past six seasons as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.
