Bryce Ball hit 13 home runs in Danville this season, the most by a D-Brave since Gerardo Rodriguez hit 13 in 2008. His total is tied for fourth-most in a single season in club history...Ball hit a pair of home runs on his birthday on July 8, Danville's first multi-homer game since Garrison Schwartz clubbed a pair of dingers on August 23, 2017...Ball earned a call-up to Single-A Rome on August 12, and went 8-for-14 with three doubles and two RBI in his first three games...The D-Braves hit 42 home runs as a team this season, surpassing last year's total of 29 and matching the ninth-best total in club history. The team hit 14 home runs at home, more than last year's nine and the second-highest total in seven years...As a team, the D-Braves hit three grand slams, the most in one season since three in 2006. The franchise record for grand slams in a season is four, recorded in 1997. The D-Braves notched grand slams in back-to-back games on June 30 and July 1, the first time in franchise history Danville has hit grand slams in consecutive games...Mitch Stallings struck out 11 batters on June 26 against the Bluefield Blue Jays and then matched that total at home against the Princeton Rays on August 2, the most by a Danville pitcher since Ronan Pacheco struck out 13 Bristol batters on July 28, 2010...Stallings made nine starts and two relief appear- ances, with just three outings lasting fewer than five innings. He hurled 56 innings, including a career-long seven on August 2...His 69 strikeouts in his 11 appearances and his 2.25 ERA were the best in the Appalachian League...Stallings was called up to Single-A Rome on August 14...Cody Milligan drew 44 walks in his 59 games. His total is in third place in club history, trailing just Alejandro Machado ('00) and Michael Forbes ('99) who are tied for first with 53 walks....Ricky DeVito excelled after transitioning to the starting rotation. He gave up just one run in 13.2 innings, including a scoreless streak of 12 innings to start off his time as a starter. His production earned him an August 2 callup to Single-A Rome...Danville struggled to make up deficits late in games. The team's 7-5 victory over the Greeneville Reds on July 24 was the first time the team had rallied to win after trailing after the sixth and seventh innings, falling the previous 18 times... The team had four walk-off wins: on June 19 in the first game of an opening-day doubleheader on Cody Milligan's home run in the 8th inning, on Brandon Parker's RBI infield single on August 15, on a fielder's choice during Ray Hernandez's at bat on August 17 and on an RBI single on August 22...The D-Braves earned their first sweep of the season August 15-17 with three one-run wins against the Eliza- bethton Twins...Danville finished its home portion of the 2019 campaign strong. The D-Braves went 7-1 over an eight-game homestand to close out the 2019 campaign 17-17 at home...The team went 14-16 against the West Division, splitting or winning the season series against four of the five West foes...Bryce Ball (1B) and Mitch Stallings (LHP) were named Appalachian League All-Stars, the first time since 2010 the D-Braves had multiple All-Stars and the third straight year at least one Danville player was selected...Ball and Stallings were also selected as Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, the third time in club history that both selections came from Danville and the first time since 2009...
