Minutes/ Hadhramout Health Cluster Coordination Meeting- Mukalla, Date: 28 February, 2021 Venue: Virtual meeting via Zoom 

Meeting Agenda Action Points 1 Welcome and introduction: Health Cluster focal point welcomed all partners to the regular virtual monthly Sub-National Health Cluster meeting, the action points of the last meeting were discussed and the meeting minute was endorsed. The meeting has addressed the following agenda items; 1) Welcome & Introduction of Partners & Follow up on previous action points.

2) Epidemiological update: (COVID-19, Cholera, Dengue) & Response / Gaps in Hadhramout Hub.

3) GHOs updates & Challenges.

4) Partner’s Updates & Challenges.

5) Mareb crisis.

6) ABO; 2  COVID-19 update and response: - WHO presented a brief update on COVID-19 in Hadhramout hub between (Week1 to 7 \ 2021), total number of suspected cases in Hadhramout (Mukalla) are 100, while 45 confirmed cases by PCR, In Hadhramout Al-Wadi the total number of suspected cases are 133, while the confirmed cases by PCR are 68, while 13 confirmed cases by PCR in Shabwah out of 45 suspected cases. - In Al-Mahra 2 confirmed cases out of 18 suspected cases. In Socotra Zero case recorded. In response to covid-19, WHO; • Conducted cases management training for 5 HWs at level for each ICU unit • Provide COVID-19 isolation units by fuel • Provided COVID-19 isolation units by refilling oxygen cylinder • Hazard payment for all HWs at COVID-19 isolation unit • Provided COVID-19 isolation units by medicines

 DF update and response: - Total number of suspected cases in Hadhramout (Mukalla) are 39, while 0 confirmed cases, In Hadhramout Al-Wadi the total number of suspected cases are 12, while the confirmed cases are 6. - In Shabwah 153 suspected cases, while nothing confirmed cases. - In Al-Mahra 5 suspected cases. In Socotra Zero case recorded. In response to DF, WHO: • Conducted fogging spray campaign in Ateq, Behan, Meifah districts • Conducted case management training for 35 HWs • Provided GHOs by RDT • Provided CPHL at Mukalla and Sayoun by lab. Reagent for ELISA • Provided GHOs by health education brochures

 Cholera update and response: WHO presented a brief update on Cholera between the (1-7) week 2021 of Mukalla Hub, for Mukalla\ Hadramoat governorate, the Suspected cases were 71, suspected cases were 12, In Al-Mahrah governorate, suspected cases were 7, Sayoun Hadramoat governorate, suspected cases were 7, Confirmed case is 0 case. Response: • Conducted OCV campaign 2 rounds in Hajer district • Provided GHOs by cholera kits • Conducted health education sessions by C4D Supported by UNICEF • Provided GHOs by brochures and leaflets.

In terms of cholera and DF, Partners are raised the point that, there are a lot of suspected cases of Health cluster will coordinate WHO office in Mukalla Cholera and DF, while zero cases were confirmed, the partners want to know the causes behand Hub to clarify this point during the next presentation this. of SNC meeting of Mukalla hub for March.

3 GHOs updates & Challenges GHO of Hadhramout Al-Wadi; shared a list of needs they critically need for isolation centers of CVOVID-19 as per attached. GHO AL-Sahel: Also shared needs to control COVID-19. GHOs AL-Mahra and Shabwah don’t have any update or shared any needs.

4 Partner’s Updates & Challenges:

Al-Awn Foundation for development:

Health Activates Report \ Doan district for Feb 2021;

Type of intervention: Funding and operating Al-Hagrain chartable hospital.

Update for Feb 2021;

Total Number of outpatient consultations for host community 1170, while 184 from IDPs, number of consultations for communicable diseases including outbreaks 270.

Antenatal care visits 130, postnatal care visits 3

Number of children under 1 received Penta3, 41

Number of referrals,5.

All referral cases are assisted

Number of consultations for new hypertensive patient,17 M and 32F, while consultations for diabetic patients,14M and 21F, and 3 males were consulted as they had heart disease.

Number of admissions (Hospitalization) were 6 women,

Number of normal deliveries assisted were 9 while of C-section were 9.

For surgeries, major Surgeries were 3 F and minor Surgeries were 18M and 18F.

UNICEF

Covid-19 intervention;

- Supporting and establishment of 6 triage sites in Hadhramout Al-Wadi, Mukalla, and Al- Mahra (2 per each. - Distribution of micronutrients among governorates under Mukalla hub. - UNICEF in cooperation with representative GHO in governorates in Mukalla hub and group of organizations BCHR supporting the wash program for IDPs.

- UNICEF support a lot of health facilities in Hadhramout beside conducing MUAC campaign for children under5 and distribution of H. kits. - UNICEF confirmed arrival of a vaccine against Covid 19 as part of the Kovacs initiative, and it is expected to arrive in March and start vaccination.

SHS

SHS updates Feb.2021 regarding BEmONC project in :

Regarding updates: -

- Midwifes conducted home visits for providing RH services including post-natal care and as follow up the referral cases.

- Conducted a comprehensive arising awareness campaign for girls about early marriage, puberty age, and all topic under reproductive age concept.

- SHS is looking for Obs & Gyn doctor to work in Socotra, since there is lack of available specialists there.

Regarding challenges: -

- Unavailable Obs &Gyn Doctor from the governorate itself.

5 Mareb crisis. Sub-national health cluster coordinator for Aden hub Dr. Manal presented the Mareb crisis presentation and intervention of health cluster during this crisis. She started by a clear overview about the situation in and the numbers of IDPs in Mareb and AL-Aber districts.

Health Cluster Response • Ad hoc meeting led by HE the minister of health was conducted on 22 February 2021 • Health Cluster Coordination meeting was conducted at Marieb GHO whith discussion of the urgent needs of Al-Rawdah • Health cluster also is mobilizing 30 IEHK from the stock in Hadhramout which is available at Intersos warehouse

• 20 IEHK will be delivered by Human Access to respond to Marib needs through 4 Mobile clinics supporting IDPs sites through Human Access • 10 IEHK will be delivered by Alawn Foundation to support the IDPs of Mareb in Al-Ab • Health cluster is conducting urgent distribution plan of the essential drugs and medical supplies through the health actors in Mareb, based on the current needs. • WHO: *3 surgical kits to Mareb central Hospital *blood bags and anesthesia drugs • UNFPA: * 3 CEmONC hospitals * 1 BEmONC HF through BFD • IOM: * 1 Mobile clinics IDPs in Al-Rawdah-Serwah *Scale up in Al Shaheed Hospital esp. in emergency unit • UNICEF: 7 MTs for the priority districts with a high number of IDPs which are: Aljoba, Alabdea, Jabal Murad, Marib Awadi, Hareeb Byhan, Marib city, Raghoan, and Madghal from March to December 2021 Transportation of supply to 80 OTPs and the supportive supervision for all the OTPs in Marib. MNH services in Kara hospital. IMCI supplies for the 4 districts under DFA (Serwah, Bebeda, Hareeb Alqaramesh, and Majzer) • YFCA: delivered 3 SSK to Central Hospital (receiving most of the injuries) • MSF: has intervention in 8 IDPs camps with two mobile clinics • The Yemeni Red Crescent: Supporting the Rawdah Health Center with staff and medicines • One mobile clinic supported by BFD/UNFPA will provide PHC services in Al Rawdah • ICRC supporting trauma hospital, provided 700 body bag for dead bodies and renovate the mortuary
