PIZ ALUMNI 52 students have graduated from the college and are serving the Lord in different towns and villages in . A few have gone on to do further studies in Zambia and South Africa. Here are just a few of the graduates:

Moses Chiluba Moses graduated from PIZ in 2017. He lives in the tourist capital of Zambia, Livingstone. Moses is engaged in planting a church in using Lozi and English language. Mwandi is a rural town in the western province of Zambia. Moses is married and they have four school going children.

Moses Chimwaji Moses graduated from PIZ in 2017 and now works under Kitwe Chapel, planting Garneton East Chapel. About 35 people have begun to attend the church with 50 children in Sunday school. Moses is also doing further studies at Central Africa Baptist College in Kitwe. He is married to Aisha and they have two children, James and Simon.

Cecilia Mumbi Cecilia was the only girl in the first intake at PIZ in 2016. She graduated as the best student in that class. After graduating she worked for a year at PIZ as a fundraising officer. With the help of Crosslinks and George Whitefield College (GWC) in Cape Town, Cecilia is now studying for a Bachelor of Theology at GWC. She is in her second year and says, ‘I am really enjoying the Pastoral Counselling class where I have learnt so much about myself and how much I just need God everyday of my life – I am a sinner saved by grace.’

Clemore Hanjalika Clemore was in the first intake at PIZ. After graduating he went on to do a plumbing course at Trades college in Kasama. He became a Christian Union student leader at the college and helped with a new church plant. Clemore is now studying at George Whitefield College in Cape Town. Brian Bwalya Brian graduated from PIZ in November last year. He came to PIZ from Kasama Reformed Baptist Church. This year Brian is doing an internship at Kabwata Baptist Church in . His prayer is to plant a church in Kasama next year.

Felix Pumulo Nalumino Felix graduated from PIZ in 2018. This year Felix is at Kabwata Baptist Church as an intern. After his internship, Felix’s prayer is that he can go into church planting ministry.

Jacob Nyirenda Jacob is a Sunday school teacher at his church, United Church of Zambia in . He graduated from PIZ last year

Jairos Chirwa Jairos is a 2018 PIZ graduate. He is now under Mercy Seek Ye Ministries in Chililabombwe and is seeking to plant a church in .

Richard Mudata Richard graduated from PIZ in 2017. He started and has continued a ministry of door-to-door evangelism.

Lezly Daka Lezly graduated from PIZ in 2017. In 2018 Lezly devoted himself to studying the basics of vegetable and poultry production. Now he wants to start his own poultry business as he does the Lord’s work. At his church Lezly is involved in evangelism and preaching.

Moses Prince Banda Moses is a 2018 graduate of PIZ. He is serving as youth pastor and assistant pastor at Redeemed Methodist Church. The church sent him to in Samfya District to plant a church and preach to an inter- dominational Fellowship . He says, ‘I am still a Scout Chaplin and I am studying sign language so that I will be able to reach out to the deaf and hard of hearing people. I also lead a daily bible study group for 15 people’

Joshua Muwowo Joshua graduated in 2018. He goes to Central Baptist Church and is a member of the missions team that goes to Lufwanyama boarding school every Sunday to preach the gospel to pupils. He says, ‘So far it has been interesting as what I have learnt at PIZ is being put into practice. The pupils have a zeal to learn more about God. I hope to gain more experience so that I can talk to even more young people, not just at schools but as far as God wills.’

Essay Kamocha Esaay is a PIZ graduate from 2018. He is pastoring at Chibuluma Local Church in Kalulushi and Chibote Preaching Point. He has many challenges – a lack of bibles, commentaries, laptop, etc. Essay says, ‘Pray that we will continue to stand firm in the faith and that the two churches will grow.’

Lucky Chibuye Lucky graduated from PIZ in 2018. Since then he has started evangelism in Nkambo in district, with the hope of planting a church there. He says, ‘I have been strengthening the Church in teaching, preaching and evangelism - implementing the wonderful styles of approach to the proclamation of the word of God.’

Joseph Chilufya Joseph writes, ‘I have been Involved in mission work and church planting. I have travelled in different towns and provinces within Zambia, spreading the Gospel in villages such as Chiabi, Zambia, Pemba, Zimba, Magoye and Silwili . Each journey had different challenges. Glory goes to the Lord for his faithfulness.’

Taste of Zambia event, May The Taste of Zambia event was at Kegworth Village hall in Derby. Rev Joe Kapolyo was the main speaker and he shared some traits of Zambian culture. There was plenty Zambian food!

Laybourne Lakes Country Park, June During this year’s fundraising walk, it rained. Halfway during the walk we had to hide from the rain under some shrubs! We thank God for Cannon Court Evangelical Church, Leatherhead - 28 walkers came from that one church.
