Today… The Saskatoon Blades face a tough task as the Moose Jaw Warriors come to town. The Blades have gone 1-1-1 against the mighty Warriors this season, all three previous meetings were within a week of one another back in November. Shmyr campaign… Braylon Shmyr was named the WHL Player of the Week at the start of January. Now at 63 points in 47 games this season, Shmyr has racked up a whopping 25 points in his last 13 games, leading the Blades in goals (24), assists (39), and points (63).

My-Oh-Maier… ’01 G Nolan Maier was named the WHL goalie of the week last week, going 12-2-0-0 in his last 13 starts. Through 25 games this season (and career) Maier has a 15-8-0-1 record and a .902SV%, 3.28GAA and 1 shutout.

Warm Wouters… ’00 F Chase Wouters has found a home on a line centering Shmyr & Paterson, and the trio have combined for 59 points over the Blades’ last 13 games… 17 coming for Wouters who was ranked a ‘C’ in the latest edition of the NHL Central Scouting “Players to Watch” list for November, a month in which he had 10 points in 12 games.
