It’s not an ideal thing for the buyer but from a production point of view sometimes schedules can necessitate such a decision. In this case, we’ve a match tonight against Dundalk and next Saturday against Waterford; or, to be pernickety, a match last Monday against Dundalk and one tonight against Waterford. So a fve-day turnaround which, let’s be honest, is tough going in an effort to produce two programmes in such a short space of time on a Premier Division voluntary basis. So a doubler, a bumper doubler I may add, it is. 1923/24, 1927/28, Annnnnnnnd, while I have you in such understanding mood, our 1929/30, 1933/34, next production will follow the same suit, to cover our fxtures against 1935/36, 1974/75, Drogheda and Rovers which take place three days apart, either side of a 1977/78, 2000/01, weekend so if anything there’s no other option certainly for that one. 2002/03, 2008, 2009 By now all subscribers should have received emails in relation to this and the options available for full-season partakers. I’ve had no mob baying FAI Cup pitchforks and faming torches in front of my house so I guess I can take the 1927/28, 1934/35, oil off the boil. 1969/70, 1975/76, While it is part two of The Awkward Seasons, with fans alienated from 1991/1992, 2000/01, the matches itself, the programme is missing out on some day-to-day 2008 features, most notable birthday gestures and random photos that made up a sizeable bulk from previous years. So if anyone wants to wish someone League Cup a birthday, send in some photos of themselves huddled around a laptop 1974/75, 1978/79, 2009 watching the game or anything else randomly Bohs-related in fact, by all means do. The email is [email protected]. Hopefully, it won’t be too Setanta Cup long before I’m stopped on a match-night and asked ‘Can ye put this in the 2010 programme for me?’ Leinster Cup 1895/95 - 2016: A record 32 titles Alan Bird, Editor LoI Shield 1923/24, 1927/28, Contact: [email protected] 1928/29, 1933/34, Editor/Production: Alan Bird 1938/39, 1939/40 Contributors: Tony Magner, Stephen Burke, Robert McDonald, Dan McSwiney, Ryan Clarke, Aidan Fitzmaurice, Paul Walsh, Keith Murphy, Irish FA Cup Declan Farrell, Gerard Farrell, Keith Long, Stephen Lambert 1907/08 Photos: Stephen Burke, Eddie Lennon, Martin Doherty, Conor Ryan, Peter O’Doherty, Sportsfile Dublin City Cup Sales: Gerry Juhel, Ray Larkin, Killian Molloy, Timothy Boland, Joe Collins, 1935/36 Cormac Hurrell, Oran Tully RIP Printed by: Just-Print. Top Four Cup 1971/72 Acieries D’Angleur 1928/29 President’s Cup 12 titles with Keith Long from the dugout from ood evening and a very warm welcome to Dalymount Park to Jim GMagilton, the players and offcials of Dundalk for tonight’s game. Dundalk as we know are a high quality team and we will have to be at our very best to win tonight. If can be diffcult to write programme notes not knowing the outcome of our match three days ago against St. Patrick’s Athletic but wins against Harps and Longford has seen the team playing with real intensity, scoring some excellent goals and playing with confdence which has been really pleasing. It is important that we lay the foundation for winning by not conceding goals and we have managed this well in the above games which has provided us with a platform to win. This is a collective effort and the team as a whole bears that responsibility with the boys responding well to that responsibility. We are still only a relatively short way through our journey this season and I believe the foundations are in place for all to see. We also know there are areas where we need to improve and we will look to make further improvements individually and as a team as the season develops. Enjoy the games, ‘It is important that we lay the foundation for winning by not conceding goals and Keith Long, Manager The Bohemian Football Club we have managed this well against Finn Harps and Longford which has provided us with a platform to win. Fans are drifting back in the UK so here’s hoping we are not too far behind on this side of the pond. I’d like to give a mention to Conor Emerson and all his great people and volunteers in our Bohemian FC youths section. This area of our club has grown dramatically in recent years, and a lot of credit here is to our youth director, Conor and his ever growing band of great volunteers. The work these people do largely goes without thanks, but it really is the heartbeat of our club. There are over 90 volunteers / coaches working away day in day out in or club at all levels of the game. Pat Cleary’s development groups continue to strengthen with coaches and players at the highest standards, while at the very young kids end there are over 100 boys and girls in the junior Bohs at Inspire in Cabra every Saturday morning. Big thanks to all involved throughout our youth section from all the board, members and fans. On the pitch, we’ve had a few decent results recently, which have moved us up the table a bit.
