    Cracker Barrel Old Country Store partners with DAV Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® has partnered with DAV through their Country Checkers Challenge event at the 2015 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Party for a Cause Festival. On Saturday, April 18, team captains and country music stars Kellie Pickler and Thomas Rhett, and their teams of country music artists and other representatives, will play on a giant, human sized checkerboard onsite at the 3rd Annual ACM Party for a Cause Festival at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Past National Commander Bobby Barrera and DAV Life Member Joseph Washam will represent DAV at the event. Through a $35,000 donation from Cracker Barrel, ACM Lifting Lives® will donate $25,000 to the winning team’s charity and $10,000 to the losing team’s charity. He was in his early 20s and came to work at iHeartMedia KNIX Phoenix (102.5), hopelessly hungover after a night of heavy drinking at a bowling alley. Barrel and friends were celebrating the first night of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “Soul 2 Soul Tour” doubleheader in Phoenix. His PD sent him home, told him to pull himself together and return to cover the second shift. Retribution, he said, was in order. Well, good evening, everybody. I have been on the road a lot lately; I know the entertainers who are here tonight can relate. Johnny Cash was really singing our song when he said, "I've been everywhere, man." [Laughter] So I appreciate you all coming out for the best welcome-home party that I've had in a long time. I even see some members of my Cabinet and Members of Congress in the house. Michelle and I are delighted that all of you are here for the seventh in a series of evenings we've hosted here at the White House to celebrate the music that has helped to shape our Nation. Now, over the past couple of years, some of the greatest artists from Motown, from jazz, classical, Broadway have honored us with their performances. We've celebrated Latin rhythms and the music that helped define the civil rights movement. And tonight we're transforming the East Room into a bona fide country music hall. As Charley Pride, who played here 2 years ago, once said: "There is enough room in country music for everybody." And over the past 5 years, I've had the extraordinary opportunity to travel all across America. I've hopped on planes to big cities. I've ridden buses through small towns. And along the way, I've gained an appreciation for just how much country music means to so many Americans.
