Fraser joined Mercury in 2008 as General Manager Generation and was appointed Chief Executive in 2014. Before joining Mercury, he held senior roles at Carter Holt Harvey and in the dairy and finance sectors. Fraser is married to Lucy and has two daughters. Fraser has degrees in chemical engineering, dairy science and business from Canterbury, Massey and Cambridge respectively. Malcolm Alexander Chief Executive, Local Government New Zealand Malcolm Alexander is the Chief Executive of LGNZ, an organisation representing the national interests of local authorities throughout New Zealand. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, Mr Alexander was the General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Genesis Energy. He was previously a member of the Board of the New Zealand Council for Infrastructure Development from 2008 – 2012, and was the Independent Chair of the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum from 2002 – 2008. The New Zealand Initiative: Delegation to Switzerland Chelsy Blair Operations Manager, The New Zealand Initiative Chelsy Blair is the Operations Manager of The New Zealand Initiative. She is responsible for membership and board matters, human resources, event management, as well as the finances of the Initiative. She holds a National Page | 3 Diploma in Business Administration and a Prince II Foundation Certificate in Project Management. Mrs Blair has 20 years’ experience providing support at top management level in New Zealand and Britain. David Bridgman Senior Partner, PwC David Bridgman is a Senior Deals Partner with PwC who works across both the Corporate Finance and Restructuring areas. He has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate finance and financial advisory roles and advises a number of leading New Zealand public and private sector organisations on a diverse range of strategic assignments. Tim Brown Infratil / H.R.L. Morrison & Co Infratil is a NZX20 listed infrastructure investment company of which H.R.L. Morrison & Co is the manager. H.R.L. Morrison & Co also manages investments for a number of PPP funds and the region’s main sovereign wealth and pension funds. Tim is Chair of Infratil subsidiary, Wellington Airport, has responsibilities for the group’s debt capital markets and economic regulation, and a number of private initiatives. Tony Carter Chairman, Air New Zealand Tony Carter is the Chairman of Air New Zealand, New Zealand’s national airline. He is also the Chairman of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Limited, a director of Fletcher Building Limited and ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, and Independent Chairman of Blues LLP. Mr Carter worked for his family company, Carter Group Limited, in Christchurch until 1986 when he purchased a Mitre 10 hardware store, eventually serving as a director of Mitre 10 New Zealand Limited and becoming Chairman of Mitre 10 New Zealand Limited in 1993. In 1994 Mr Carter was appointed General Manager and Chief Executive designate of Foodstuffs (South Island) Limited. In 1995 he was appointed Chief Executive of Foodstuffs (South Island) Limited, and in 2001 was appointed Managing Director of Foodstuffs (Auckland) Limited and The New Zealand Initiative: Delegation to Switzerland Managing Director of Foodstuffs (New Zealand) Limited until he retired in December 2010. The Foodstuffs Group is New Zealand’s largest retail organisation. Barbara Chapman Page | 4 Chief Executive & Managing Director, ASB Bank Barbara Chapman is the Chief Executive and Managing Director of ASB Bank, a position she has held since April 2011. In the same month, she was also appointed non-executive Director of the Group’s New Zealand life insurance business, ASB Life Limited (Sovereign). Ms Chapman started her career with the Group in 1994 as Chief Manager Marketing in the Commonwealth Bank’s New Zealand subsidiary, ASB, and was internally promoted to a newly created role of General Manager Marketing and Human Resources in 2000. In 2001, Ms Chapman assumed the role of Head of Retail Banking and Marketing for ASB, and was responsible for the Bank’s sales and service strategy, personal banking performance, marketing, branding, sponsorship and public relations. She became Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Assurance Company Limited, the Group’s New Zealand Life Insurance business, in 2004. In 2006, Ms Chapman was seconded to the Commonwealth Bank in Sydney, Australia, joining the Group Executive team there as Group Executive, Human Resources and Group Services. Ms Chapman was New Zealand’s inaugural ‘Marketer of the Year’ and has received numerous awards for innovative and effective marketing throughout her career. Matthew Cockram Chief Executive, Cooper and Company Matthew Cockram is the Chief Executive for Cooper and Company New Zealand, a private investment company that acquires and develops assets on a long-term ownership basis. Prior to this role, Mr Cockram practiced as a lawyer at Bell Gully, one of New Zealand’s largest law firms, including 13 years as a partner and four years as Chairman of the Board of Partners. Matthew’s role as CEO New Zealand includes day-to-day responsibilities in the areas of governance, leadership, legal design, finance, planning and strategy. He is closely involved in all major transactions and other Cooper and Company New Zealand based investments and activities. The New Zealand Initiative: Delegation to Switzerland He is a director of Lightbox Sport LP, representing Coliseum Sports Media LP, an online sports media business that Cooper and Company has invested in. Mr Cockram is also an independent director of Tainui Group Holdings Limited and Waterfront Theatre Limited. Peter Cooper Page | 5 Founder and Executive Chairman, Cooper and Company Peter Cooper is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Cooper and Company, a private investment company that acquires and develops assets on a long-term ownership basis. Mr Cooper founded Cooper and Company after moving to the United States in 1989. The company now has branches in Auckland, New Zealand as well as Newport Beach, California, and Southlake, Texas. Mr Cooper began his career as a lawyer and partner at Auckland law firm Russell McVeagh, where he specialised in commercial and property law. He served on the Board of Georgetown University for 12 years, and in 2008 was named Maori Business Leader
