DETAILED NOTE ON THE PROJECT The road from DornalaT-Junction to Penchalakona section in Andhrapradesh is recently declared as National Highway by Government Of India and assigned National Highway Number NH-565. Rehabilitation and Upgradation of this existing road stretch Dornala T-Junction to Penchalakona i.e from Km.361/327 to 420/800 to two lane with paved shoulders under NHDP-IV through EPC basis is proposed by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORT&H) ,GOI NH 565 is the newly converted National highway. It is the important High way starting from Nakrekal on NH-65, connecting Nalgonda, Marcherla, Errugondapalem, Kanigiri, Pamur, Duttalur, Rapur, Venkatagiri, and terminating at its junction with NH 71 near Erpedu in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It crosses NH 67 (at km 641/6) at km 372.371 which is another newly declared National Highway. This stretch is predominantly known to all because of its agricultural lands and agricultural outputs and having rich mineral resources in spite of all that the stretch is located in the industrially, economically developing area. Widening and improvement of this section of NH-565 would further improve connectivity in terms of achieving smooth and safe traffic flow and improve level of service. In addition to above, substantial economic gain in terms of reduced Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) and reduced travel time will be achieved. In the above stretch from Km. 406/250 to Km.407/790 (design chainages from 388/940 to 390/480) is passing through Uyyalapalli Extn RF, from Km.411/510 to 412/610 (design chainages from Km.394/140 to 395/240 ) and from 415/000 to 420/800 (design chainages from Km.397/842 to 403/642 ) and from 420/500 (i.e penchalakona road junction) to 50 m towards Penusila Narasimha swamy temple is passing through Rapur –Velikonda A & B Reserve Forest of Rapur Range of Nellore Division. In these above reserve forests, only existing road is widened to two lane with paved shoulders, For executing this work, a land to a width of 45.0 is required. At present the width of existing BT surface is 3.66 m. Hence we seek linear diversion of forest land to an extent of 33.459 Ha (as per DGPS authencticated map) of forest land for this project. .
