Rosary for those Im risoned and on Death Row Please join us on Monday, September 9th , the Memorial of St. Peter Claver, at 7pm in our Church for a Rosary for those imprisoned and on death row.
Celebrating St. Peter Claver “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus’ answer to this question was the parable of the Good Samaritan. In short, the person you least expect. Peter Claver was born in 16th century Spain. Peter became a Jesuit and was deeply influenced by the missionary call. At age 30, he set out for modern-day Colombia. At the time, Cartagena was one of the largest slave markets in the New World. As a priest, Peter knew his role was spiritual service. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - RCIA RCIA Kicks off with a Morning of Reflection on Saturday, Sept 7 from 9am-12pm. That night, all catechumens and candidates will participate at the Rite of Welcome at the 5pm Mass. Regular RCIA sessions are on Tuesday nights at 7- 9pm OR Sunday mornings from 9:15-11am. Both sessions are in the Nazareth Center.
RCIA is appropriate for • Unbaptized adults who wish to become Catholic. • Baptized Christians who wish to become Catholic through the reception of First Communion and Confirmation. • Anyone who is interested in learning more about the faith.
