a. General Administration

 Coordinates examinations at Nairobi region the Department of Open Learning at Nairobi and Eastern Kenya Region  Organizes and co coordinates Teaching and Training programmes at Nairobi and Eastern Kenya Region  Organizes and co coordinates marketing of University of Nairobi programmes at Nairobi and Eastern Kenya Region  Supervises staff at Nairobi and Eastern Kenya Region; Nairobi.

b.Academic Programmes

 Participates in the development and implementation of different curriculum in the department  Participates in the review and implementation of different curriculum in the department  Attend school Board Meetings organized by the Dean to deal with School Matters and exchange ideas on issues of educational and philosophical interest and concern.
