Hospital facilities Gold Coast Health (GCH) delivers world-class healthcare to over 560,000 people in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region. We provide acute and sub-acute care in hospital and community
settings across the region, including the state-of-the- art Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital and Robina and Southport Health Precincts.

Clinical Service Profile Services offered across GCH include Medicine; Surgery and Critical Care; Family, Women’s and Children; Maternity Services; Children’s Services; Public Health Unit; and Mental Health. Chronic disease management is a key focus in our hospital and community care environments. GCH is working closely with health partners such as general practitioners to develop seamless support networks for patients and their families. RMO education and training opportunities The Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital are teaching facilities for doctors. Gold Coast Health is now training more medical students than any other hospital in Australia and more than 90 interns commence their professional career with us each year. We continue to work with education providers such as Griffith University and Bond University on the Gold Coast, and University of Queensland in Brisbane to train our future health workforce. Regular education and sim sessions are conducted in the clinical areas, large group and small group settings in which all junior doctors are encouraged to attend. You will be supported with your learning needs and provided with regular assessment and feedback to assist you achieve your professional goals. Junior doctors will be encouraged and supported to become involved in research and teaching, as research and education are priorities in GCHHS. GCH has a commitment to the rural relief program. It is a mandatory requirement that all rotational House Officers with general registration participate in this program.
