Fellow Noble’s, we find ourselves once again preparing for our Spring Ceremonial — that time of year when we bring in new Nobles to keep the work of our great fraternity alive and going forward. As you all know, our membership is becoming smaller every year. With that I, aside our Illustrious Potentate Keith Will, are asking you to participate in the Spring Ceremonial. Come out and show these candidates, and soon to be new Shriners, that you are ready and willing to support them and welcome them into our fraternity. Come out and let’s show their ladies how much fun we have and make them feel welcome. We will be having a great prime rib dinner and Honor Illustrious Potentate Jerry Sievers (2000). Ill. Sir Jerry was also Past President of CSSA. The dinner will be fantastic and at a very reasonable cost. Give your lady a break and bring her along as well. Cost of the dinner will be $15.00 each and cash bar. This is an open ceremonial.

Blue Valley Shrine Widows by Jan McGrury, Correspondent Our group is deeply feeling the loss of Beverly Bowers. Bev was the founder of Blue Valley Shrine Widows in 2014. Her sister Darlene was part of our group after moving from Kearney to live with her when Bev had health issues. We will miss Darlene when she moves back to Kearney. We are so sorry for her loss. I think the happiest people are the ones who do the most for others. Bev was one of those. Her sunny smile and kind heart are sadly missed. Five of us attended the “kickoff” for the Shrine Circus on the 8th. Great food, lots of information about the circus, and visiting with friends. That was a good evening! Lots of cookies are on our agenda to be baked for the 13th. We will pass them on to Ron Cerveny at our meeting that day. We are confident they will make it to the Shrine Center, “Isn’t that right, Ron?” Lots of things happening for us this Spring. It’s good to be busy! Outreach Clinic Appreciation Another successful Outreach Clinic is in the books. There were 80 patients scheduled and 62 were seen by the Twin Cities staff. Thanks to Connie Hansen and the staff from St. E’s for a great setup and ordering snacks and food. There were 38 Shriners registered along with 16 ladies and six clowns. We couldn’t do this without you. The patient from Phillips again brought about 10 cases of Girl Scout cookies — if you notice increased waistlines in those present. The grandfather of one patient sent thirty dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yes, thirty dozen doughnuts! Everything worked out great, even with the Nobility Ball scheduled for that evening. Again, thanks to all that took part on a great day. Gayle Angus Hospital Coordinator

Norfolk Clinic Appreciation Congratulations to the Northeast Shrine Club on a successful Evaluation Clinic on April 7. There were seven of the eight patients seen by the hospital staff and all were accepted. There were three that could not make it on Friday and were to be seen in Lincoln on Saturday, I don’t have the results of the outcome at this time. Thanks to the following members of the Northeast Shrine Club: Lowell Erikson, Larry Wiegert, Lee Howeter, Gale Retzlaff, Gerald Kuhn, Colin Andrews and Milford Weaver, Also on hand were Shriners from El Riad Shrine, Douglas Kristensen and Bruce Jorgensen, along with Bob Wilbur from the Pawnee Shrine Club. Special thanks to Illustrious Sir Kieth Will and Richard Eggerling for taking time from a busy weekend to attend. It was a great day of Shriners working together for a common end, helping our children. Gayle Angus Hospital Coordinator
