Information with respect to the Gram Nyayalaya, Ambalappuzha Under Section 4 (1) (b) of the Right To Information Act 2005.

1. Organization functions and duties The Gram Nyayalaya, Ambalappuzha at came under the jurisdiction of the Ambalappuzha Block Panchayath which constitutes the Grama Panchayath, Ambalappuzha South Grama Panchayath, Ambalappuzha North Grama Panachayath, Grama Panchayath, and Grama Panchayath. The Gram Nyayalaya, Ambalappuzha commenced its function on the F.N. of 19.11.16. The Gram Nyayalaya is presided over by the Nyayadhikari. The Subordinate Staff of the establishment consists of 1 Secretary, 1 C.A (Gr.II), 3 Clerks, 1 Amin , 2 Process Servers, 2 Office Attendants and 1 Part Time Sweeper, and are appointed by the Hon'ble District Judge, on deputation basis holding equivalent posts in the Civil and Criminal wings of the Judicial Department in District subject to the prevailing condition of deputation for a period of one year from the date of taking charge. 2. The powers and duties of Officer and employees

The Gram Nyayalaya, Ambalappuzha shall exercise both Civil and Criminal jurisdiction in the manner and to the extent provided under the Gram Nyayalaya Act. 3. The Procedure followed in decision making process, including channels of supervision and unaccountability. In the Civil judicial side proceedings are channeled through Secretary → Court fees/ inward Section Clerk→ Bench Clerk → Judicial Officer and in Criminal side through Bench Clerk→Judicial Officer. In the Administrative side, files are channeled through Clerk→ Secretary → Judicial Officer. 4. The norms set for the discharge of functions The functions of this court are discharged in accordance with the various rules and regulations constituted for the purpose. Issues are dealt with on priority basis, expeditiously taking into account, the various instructions issued from superior courts from time to time. 5. An internal complaint committee has been constituted in terms of prevention, prohibition and Redressal of sexual harassment of women employees at work place. 9. Directory of Officers and employees. No telephone connection has been established in this office. 10. Monthly remuneration received by officers and employees. The monthly remuneration is likely to change depending on the grant of increments and variation in the Dearness Allowance sanctioned by the Government from time to time.
