6:00 to 7 p.m. Proposed Site Plan Control Changes Planning Services has been working on making changes to the current Site Plan Control process. The objective of the review is to increase efficiency, transparency, and improve cost recovery. City staff have hosted two targeted meetings to date to obtain community association feedback, and would like to now present the proposed changes to a larger group of FCA members. Your input is needed.

7:00 to 8: 00 p.m. “Local Land Use Made Easier” : Planning Local Planning Appeal Support Centre (LPASC) In April 2018, introduced changes to the land use approval and appeals process. The Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) replaced the century-old Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) and the first-ever public support centre was created to help individuals with their planning concerns. Join Executive Director Mary Lee for a presentation on how individuals participate in land use planning under the new rules and how the new Local Planning Appeal Support Centre can help. Biography Mary Lee became LPASC’s first Executive Director at the time of the agency’s opening, April 2018. Mary has had numerous leadership roles in her career that spans over 30 years of service in the public sector, working for provincial government ministries, boards and tribunals.
