• Blood diamonds are also known as conflict diamonds or war diamonds

• Blood diamonds in just Sierra Leone has caused over 4 million deaths

• The Sierra Leone war lasted for 10 years from 1991 to 2001 WAYS WE ARE HELPING

One way that we are helping is that some companies are only allowing diamonds that come from “safe” countries.

Although some organizations such as the Kimberly Process are doing their best to help, a lot more needs to be done. WAYS WE CAN HELP

Consumers should insist on buying diamonds only from places that source them from conflict free regions. WAYS WE CAN HELP

Another way we can help is to donate to non-profit organizations such as Hands for Africa. We can also raise money ourselves to fund for homes and shelter for victims. CONCLUSION

Blood diamonds are a major problem in the world. If we don’t act now, the results of this terrible activity will only get worse. THANK YOU CREDITS Producer Satvik Kumar 4th grade, Findley Elementary
