ARTS AND LEISURE STUDENT COUNCIL COALITION by Channing Smith Mrs. McDill is the sponsor of WSHS Student Council. Every year, the student council goes to a conference called the SCC Leadership Conference. When interviewed, Mrs. McDill explained:

“In 2016, Ware Shoals High School Student Council was invited to join the newly formed Student Council Coalition. While we have a very good state organization, our council, along with seven other schools, was looking for different types of leadership experiences. The schools, along with Ware Shoals, include Irmo, Lexington, White Knoll, Silverbluff, Aiken, and Camden. The conference, which will be held from March 27-March 29, 2019, will take 18 council members to Newberry College for our leadership conference. All workshops will be conducted by college students and will offer students the opportunity to exchange ideas and meet other council members who share similar interests. Speakers in the past have included Governor McMaster and the Chief Justice of the South Carolina Court of Appeals.” HORNET HEROES LUNCH MENU
