Instruction Manual for the Pioneer DJ Equipment Listed Below Before Connecting the Equipment to Your Computer InstructionInstruction ManualManual About this manual Be sure to read this manual before using. This manual includes important information that you must understand before using rekordbox. • In this manual, name of buttons and menus displayed on rekordbox are indicated with brackets. (e.g. [BPM], [Collection] window) • Please note that depending on the operating system version, web browser settings, etc., operation may differ from the procedures described in this manual. • Please note that the language on the rekordbox screen described in this manual may differ from the language on your screens. • This manual describes functions and operations for rekordbox ver. 6.0 or later. If you use an earlier rekordbox version than ver. 6.0, please download the suitable manual from the FAQ on the rekordbox website. • For details about preparations for using rekordbox, such as installing rekordbox, creating an account, contracting a subscription plan, and creating library files, refer to “rekordbox Introduction” on the rekordbox website. • Please note that the specification, design, etc. of rekordbox may be modified without notice and may differ from the descriptions in this manual. The contents of this manual are as follows: “[Collection]” (page 7) This explains how to import music files and how to create playlists to be used for DJ performances. “EXPORT mode” (page 48) This explains how to operate the EXPORT mode. “PERFORMANCE mode” (page 104) This explains how to operate the PERFORMANCE mode.     MIDIVAL PUNDITZ Hello Hello This past decade has been marked by the rise of the Indian electronica scene and no single band has had more influence on its growth than the Midival Punditz. Comprised of New Delhi based producers Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj, the Punditz have been repeatedly heralded as pioneers of a scene that has ushered in some of the freshest global music out of India. On their third studio album Hello Hello, the duo has successfully documented their own personal journey as artists and brought their sound into the present. As India’s influence on the world through music, film and fashion hits a new peak as evidenced by the worldwide popularity of the film Slumdog Millionaire, the Punditz have kept their hands on the wheel and helped steer this ship into a new century of sound and culture. Hello Hello encompasses all the varied worlds in which this producer/DJ team exists – tying them together through a sound that brings International Electronica, Global Pop, Folk, and Indian Classical with modern day song writing. The result is a sound that is uniquely Midival Punditz. For this album, the duo get support from longtime friend and collaborator Karsh Kale, working as co-producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. The album’s opener, “Electric Universe,” follows in the old tradition of “tonight’s-the-night” style dance hits. The majestic bansuri flute sets up the vocoder lyrics – “this is the night/to turn on the lights/to the universe” – over a sturdy, western dance groove. But at the end of the record, an acoustic version of the same song, with “real” vocals and acoustic guitar by Karsh Kale, turns it into a nocturne – as if to prove that despite all the bells and whistles, in the end it’s all about the song.

This document is referring to the current available VLC Media Player version 2.2.0 Streaming a file/playlist to Barix decoder To send a MP3 RTP stream from the VLC to a Barix Exstreamer execute the following steps: – first open VLC – select from VLC main menu : MEDIA – Open (advanced) … – there select your audio files (MP3) or your playlist file (m3u) – select “Stream” from the “Play” button menu A new window opens, click on “Next”. On next screen “RTP Audio/Video Profile” and click on “Add”. As next define target IP-address and target port number then click “Next”. On next screen set the target format “Audio-MP3”. “Transcoding” is mostly not needed and can be deactivated then click “Next”. As last comes the Summary/Option setup screen showing the command line for the before selected options, click on “Stream” to start the streaming. Such stream can be received e.g. from the “Barix Streaming Client” firmware, the “Any to All” firmware or the STL firmware. Option command for RAW UDP Streaming e.g. to Annuncicom :sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=udp,mux=raw,dst=224.0.0.1:3030}} (String is for the Option Setup screen, see picture above, generates a RAW UDP multicast stream to port 3030) The target port number and/or target IP address at the end of the string is changable!
