2019-2020 Guide to Fundraising, Events, and Volunteering

Like all schools in the Diocese of , St. Philip School (SPS) is required to obtain a portion of its operating budget through fundraising. To help the school achieve this goal, SPS has a Fundraising Quota (FRQ) Program. • Each family is required to either raise $450 through FRQ-designated fundraisers by the end February or pay the balance to the school. • St. Philip PTG offers a variety of fundraisers as a part of the FRQ Program. This mix of fundraisers is provided to allow families to choose the options

every fundraiser. that fit best with their lifestyle. Families are not expected to participate in • You can track your fundraising progress using our FRQ website, www.stphilipfrq.com.

In addition to the fundraisers that are a part of the FRQ Program, St. Philip PTG also participates in other programs that allow you to raise money for the school with no additional cost. For more details on these programs, see pages 15-16.

St. Philip School also requests that each family volunteers for the school. • Each family is required to volunteer 20 hours of service each year. • The volunteer and fundraising cycle runs from March 1st through February 28th of the following year. • There are many events, fundraisers, and other school activities that you can participate in to achieve your required hours. Please note that most volunteer opportunities require Safe Environment clearances. More about this can be found on pages 19-20.

This guide provides brief descriptions of our events and fundraisers with the applicable FRQ credit, volunteer opportunities and whom to contact. There is also a section on Volunteering and the required clearances. For more details, visit the PTG section of the school website at spsangelway.org. Please email Kerri Lozano, PTG President at [email protected] with any questions.

PTG NEWSFLASH EMAILS Throughout the year, emails will be sent out with important messages from the PTG and SPAA. If you are not already receiving these emails, please send a message to [email protected] to be added to the contact list. SCHOOL YEAR TIMELINE
