The stage name change was revealed by his producer, Lyor Cohen, in preparation for the release of the mixtape. Jeffery is all about Jeffery, according to Young Thug. It's not really about Young Thug. There are no songs by Young Thug. Every track was named after one of the "idols" of Young Thug, including Gucci Mane ("Guwop" , Wyclef Jean ("Wyclef Jean" , Rihanna ("RiRi" , Future ("Future Swag" , and Harambe, the gorilla killed in May 2016 at the Cincinnati Zoo.
