Nine Night is Natasha Gordon’s first play as a writer. As an actor, her work in theatre includes Red Velvet (Tricycle); The Low Road and Clubland (Royal Court); Mules and Exception and the Rule (Young Vic); Luce (Southwark Playhouse); and As You Like It (RSC). Film includes No Dogs and Dough. TV includes Class; Eastenders; Line of Duty; Danny and the Human Zoo; You, Me and the Apocalypse; Secret Words; and Law and Order: UK. Roy Alexander Weise is the 19th annual winner of the James Menzies-Kitchin Award. His work for the NT includes Dead Don't Floss. The highlights of this amazing career, so far to date, have been Hyewon's works being presented to the president of Korea on live TV by the country's leading make-up artist association. Spending eight years at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Graduating with a BA from the London College of Fashion. Receiving invitations to teach in other countries, and lead Master Classes. Feeling honoured and privileged to have worked on feature films, such as Harry Potter, plus episodes of BBC’s Dr Who. First hand experience of London's West End theatres, and working on wax models at the world renowned Madam Tussauds Hyewon began her make-up career in 2001 with the KBS Broadcast Network and at the Opera House in South Korea. After moving to the UK to study at the London College of Fashion, she graduated with a BA in Costume, Technical Effects & Make-up for the Performing Arts. Awarded a finalist place in the 2007 BBC Vision Design Competition for Make-up, she went on to become the 2012 World Champion at the International Body Painting Festival in Asia. In a small deserted café the smooth, jazzy sounds of Sarah Vaughan can be heard coming from the jukebox. Whilst Hally does his homework, Sam and Willy scrub floors, practice the quickstep, and share their daydreams about better times. ‘There’s no collisions out there Hally. Nobody trips or stumbles or bumps into anybody else. That's what that moment is all about. To be one of those finalists on that dancefloor is like…like being in a dream about a world in which accidents don't happen.’ Athol Fugard (1932 -) is South Africa’s greatest living dramatist. Drawn from a haunting incident in his own childhood, Athol Fugard’s uniquely personal account of 1950’s South Africa won the Evening Standard Best Play Award 1983. This production of ‘Master Harold’… and The Boys enjoyed a successful run at the Bristol Old Vic, where it was first produced in 2002. Joyce Branagh has recently co-directed a production of Twelfth Night which is currently touring nationally, and she will be directing Summer Again at the Orange Tree in October. She has just been appointed as the Literary Director for Watford Palace Theatre Jonathan Broadbent has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre, Shared Experience, and Bristol Old Vic and recently in Mill on the Floss for Nottingham Playhouse.

7 September 2018 FULL CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR THE NATIONAL THEATRE’S PRODUCTION OF NINE NIGHT AT THE TRAFALGAR STUDIOS NINE NIGHT by Natasha Gordon Trafalgar Studios 1 December 2018 – 9 February 2019, Press night 6 December The National Theatre have today announced the full cast for Nine Night, Natasha Gordon’s critically acclaimed play which will transfer from the National Theatre to the Trafalgar Studios on 1 December 2018 (press night 6 December) in a co-production with Trafalgar Theatre Productions. Natasha Gordon will take the role of Lorraine in her debut play, for which she has recently been nominated for the Best Writer Award in The Stage newspaper’s ‘Debut Awards’. She is joined by Oliver Alvin-Wilson (Robert), Michelle Greenidge (Trudy), also nominated in the Stage Awards for Best West End Debut, Hattie Ladbury (Sophie), Rebekah Murrell (Anita) and Cecilia Noble (Aunt Maggie) who return to their celebrated NT roles, and Karl Collins (Uncle Vince) who completes the West End cast. Directed by Roy Alexander Weise (The Mountaintop), Nine Night is a touching and exuberantly funny exploration of the rituals of family. Gloria is gravely sick. When her time comes, the celebration begins; the traditional Jamaican Nine Night Wake. But for Gloria’s children and grandchildren, marking her death with a party that lasts over a week is a test. Nine rum-fuelled nights of music, food, storytelling and laughter – and an endless parade of mourners. The production is designed by Rajha Shakiry, with lighting design by Paule Constable, sound design by George Dennis, movement direction by Shelley Maxwell, company voice work and dialect coaching by Hazel Holder, and the Resident Director is Jade Lewis.

Egypt, 1907. Two archaeologists, Bernard Grenfell and Arthur Hunt, are searching for ancient fragments of poetry and plays, next to an old rubbish heap. Until the Greek God, Apollo, descends from the skies... Apollo is furious that they have failed to unearth the fragmentary text of a lost Satyr play by Sophocles. As he forces the two papyrologists to find the lost play, Grenfell and Hunt become part of the story they have discovered. Multi-award-winning poet and playwright Tony Harrison remakes the ancient Greek original into a play for our times – and rediscovers the satyr play.

Monday 7 January 2019 FULL CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR THE WEST END TRANSFER OF HOME, I’M DARLING As rehearsals begin, casting is announced for the West End transfer of the National Theatre and Theatr Clwyd’s critically acclaimed co-production of Home, I’m Darling, a new play by Laura Wade, directed by Theatre Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, featuring Katherine Parkinson, which begins performances at the Duke of York’s Theatre on 26 January. Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd, Humans) reprises her acclaimed role as Judy, in Laura Wade’s fizzing comedy about one woman’s quest to be the perfect 1950’s housewife. She is joined by Sara Gregory as Alex and Richard Harrington as Johnny (for the West End run, with tour casting for the role of Johnny to be announced), reprising the roles they played at Theatr Clwyd and the National Theatre in 2018. Charlie Allen, Susan Brown (Sylvia), Ellie Burrow, Siubhan Harrison (Fran), Jane MacFarlane and Hywel Morgan (Marcus) complete the cast. Home, I’m Darling will play at the Duke of York’s Theatre until 13 April 2019, with a press night on Tuesday 5 February. The production will then tour to the Theatre Royal Bath, and The Lowry, Salford, before returning to Theatr Clwyd following a sold out run in July 2018. Home, I’m Darling is co-produced in the West End and on tour with Fiery Angel. How happily married are the happily married? Every couple needs a little fantasy to keep their marriage sparkling. But behind the gingham curtains, things start to unravel, and being a domestic goddess is not as easy as it seems.
