The initial scheme Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) was launched in 1999. It was renamed as National Rural Livelihood Mission in 2011. Finally they were merged into DDU-AY. 3 Ministry of New and PM-KUSUM 208-19  20 lakh farmers to be provided Renewable Energy for setting up stand-alone solar pumps.  Another 15 lakh farmers to be helped to solarise their grid- connected pump sets.  Scheme to enable farmers to set up solar power generation capacity on their fallow/barren lands and to sell it to the grid.
