WDF playing rules shall apply throughout the Nordic Cup events. 2. The Nordic Cup is divided into a Men’s Nordic Cup and a Woman’s Nordic Cup 3. The Nordic Cup consists of three separate events; singles, pairs and four-person team. 4. The singles and pairs are played on a knockout basis. The four-person team discipline is played on a round-robin basis where the 2 best teams in each group will advance to a knockout format. 5. In the singles and pairs event, the playing format is best of 7 legs. If the two players/pairs reach 3 legs each in the match, the order of throw in the deciding leg will be determined by a ‘bull’ shoot. 6. In the team event, the playing format is best of 17 legs. The order of play will be as follows Leg Player Player Leg Player Player team 1 team 2 team 1 team 2 1 1 2 9 4 4 2 2 1 10 1 1 3 3 4 11 2 3 4 4 3 12 3 2 5 2 2 13 1 3 6 1 4 14 2 4 7 4 1 15 3 1 8 3 3 16 4 2 If the teams reach 8 legs each in the match, each team shall select one player to play the deciding leg. The order of throw is determined by a ‘bull’ shoot. 7. If two teams are being tied with equal points in the round-robin group, the comparison of leg difference will be used to resolve the tie. If the teams are equal on leg difference, then the result of the actual match between the two teams in the round-robin matchplay shall be used to break the tie. 8. If three teams are being tied with equal points and leg difference, each team shall nominate one player to play in the group tie break. All three players shall play on the same board, and the first player to win 2 legs shall be the winner of the group tie break. The throwing order shall be decided by a ‘bull’ shoot, and the order of play in the maximum four legs shall be respectively (1,2,3), (2,3,1), (3,1,2), (1,2,3) 9. All players and officials shall refrain from smoking and/or consuming alcoholic beverages while participating in any matchplay, and during any introductions, interviews or presentations. 10. All players in all events are entitled to six practice darts on the allocated match board before the start of matchplay. In the four person team event this applies to all players before the first leg to be played by each respective player. In all subsequent legs all players shall only be allowed three practice darts during that match. No other practice darts may be thrown during the match. 11. Players may be changed prior to and up to the time when a player shall be required to throw the first dart in an event in the cup. Substitutions in a team will be allowed if a player is unable to continue for a bona-fide reason. In such instances, one substitution shall be allowed, but only at the start of a match and only by a person that has not already played in the cup. 12. In the instance of a dispute arising during matchplay, the match should be stopped immediately. Both team managers shall accompany the board official to the control desk where the matter will be resolved by the ‘tournament official’ whose decision shall be final and binding. No late protest will be accepted.
