Volume 32 #4 April, 2017 The 72nd Annual Jamboree was a !

The 72nd Annual Jamboree, featuring Justin Fuente of Virginia Tech, was held on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. The day began with an excellent Past President's Breakfast, sponsored by Burton Lumber. Coach Karen Barefoot of the ODU Lady Monarchs was our speaker, and as always, did a fantastic job. We moved into the early evening with the VIP Reception, sponsored by Monaco Capital Management, and wonderful time was had by all, as we were able to mingle with Coach Fuente and all of our awardees and presenters. The main event of dinner and the program, sponsored graciously by K&D Round's Landscape Services, ran smoothly and was very enjoyable! Special thanks to all of our program advertisers and sponsors, including the VIP sponsors: Davenport & Co., Tecnico, The Schaubach Companies, Towne Bank, The Decker Law Firm, Hoy Construction, and Vandeventer Black LLP. Our event would not have been a success without each of you! And a BIG thank you to all of our Jamboree Committee members! Your hard work and dedication truly paid off in the form of a tremendous evening! We received quite a bit of press during the event.
