Economic Revolution AAED Spring Conference

Prescottprescott Resortresort 1500 EAST STATE RTE 69 PRESCOTT, AZ 86301 May 6-8, 2015 Economic Revolution

Economic development does not permit complacency. Economic developers start the next project even as they complete the current one. AAED is the same. We just finished celebrating our 40th year and we are already looking to the challenges of the new environment. “Economic Revolution”, the title of the 2015 AAED Spring Conference, addresses the need to change to stay relevant.

This past year, AAED geared up for change. We made our brand and logo crisp and modern. The new logo now marks an energized electronic newsletter and is displayed on electronic panels at AAED’s office. We made participation in AAED easier and more convenient: our 480+ state-wide members have a choice in attending committee meetings in person, by phone or via video conferencing. We embrace the changing times.

Innovation and technology are the themes of the “Economic Revolution,” the topic of our conference. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Atkinson will address the revolution of technology and how it spurs innovation, and its future evolution. Is the revolution over or has it just begun? A panel will then debate his provocative insights and predictions. Other speakers will discuss the cultural revolution that is impacting ’s economic viability. To stay competitive in the global economic race, Arizona will need to go through a revolution of sorts. A panel will discuss what it will take.

The “Rapid Fire” rounds occurring on Friday will deliver insights in short bursts. AAED members from around the state will share best practices in 5 minute hits. Stay around after the session for the AAED Annual Business Meeting. Take this opportunity to meet the new leadership team and vote on changes to the AAED Bylaws.

Thank you for attending, and thank you for your ongoing support of AAED.
