We received records for this location April 24, 1997, the cemetery property is being cultivated.

The Municipality of Enterprise map shows a registered cemetery at this location. A clump of brush in a grain field may hide a burial as at October 11, 1996. There is no sign of a fence or any other marker. The property for this small cemetery was donated by Adam Schmidt who kept it clean until his death.

Bitter Lake Congregational Cemetery, Richmound, Saskatchewan.

The one acre plot is located in the south-west corner of SW 01-15-29-W3. The barbed wire fence is fallen down, grass has not been cut in years and several of the grave markers require attention as at October 11, 1996. This plot known to some as the Hendrie Cemetery is located twelve miles west of Golden Prairie, Saskatchewan. Originally a German Congregational Church was begun here. In later years, it became the Good Hope United Church.

St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Richmound, Saskatchewan.

The first mass was celebrated in summer 1912, at the Joseph Brilz home, four miles south and two miles east of Richmound, the priest traveled from Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. The first Catholic families in the area included; George Fleck, George Jager, John Pingert, Andrew Kuntz, Chris Stark, Pete Martin, Ambrose Hepfner, Joe Glaser, John Kunz, John Koch and Mike Stein. Another group of Catholic families lived northwest of Richmond, they celebrated mass in the A.J. McIntosh and John Stodalka homes. The Bishop paid his first visit to the area in August 1916, he administered Confirmation at the Brilz home and witnessed First Communion of the children. The congregation started using Haverhill school as a church August 1917. A meeting later that year determined a church was needed, each family was assessed $60.00 towards construction of a new building. The church known as St. Mary's was built on the John Stodalka property one mile west and two miles north of Richmound. The Haverhill and Richmound parishes amalgamated in 1928, at this time the church was moved from the Stodalka farm into Richmound, an addition was made in 1929. This building was used until 1958, when it was moved to Golden Prairie, and a new church was built in Richmound. The first resident priest, Father George Walliser, served from 1937 to 1939, Father James Schnerch replaced him in 1939. Father Walliser returned in 1949 and served Richmound and Schuler until 1953. The following priests also served this parish, Father Carl Prothman, 1953 to 1962, Father Thomas Schnerch 1962 to 1969, Father Francis Lenz 1969 to 1971, Father Henry Wagner 1971 to 1976 followed by Father Joe Blatz. The four acre cemetery is located just south of the railway tracks about one half mile east on highway 371 and about one quarter mile south of Richmound, Saskatchewan. The legal land description is NE 23-17-28- W2. A site visit June 07, 1997, found the plot in good condition, there is a chain fence along the east side, the fence on the north side has fallen down. This cemetery is still being actively used. The names marked with an asterisk were confirmed as interred here during the site visit. The cemetery is split into two distinct portions, with children interred in the northwest comer and the adults in the southwest comer.
