The Chamaleon Ensemble The "Ensemble Chamaleon" consists of three professional musicians with a broad range of concert experiences. The group has, due to their soloistic background, the abili­ ty, even within the same program, to perform in differ­ ent combinations. The goal of the group is to perform valuable pieces, that often, due to the difficulty of the proper performer combinations, are rarely heard.

Madeleine Nussbaumer, Piano Born in Zug, Switzerland. Musical education in Lucerne: Chamber music courses with Rudolf Baumgartner. Piano pedagogic degree and in 1973 Concert Diploma with Honors from the Conservatory in Lucerne under the direction of Hubert Harry. Further studies in by Eliane Rich­ epin. Extensive solo and Chamber music performances in . Played several times at the International Music Festival in Lucerne. Madeleine Nussbaumer teaches at the Music school in Zug, and lives in Cham, Switzerland.

Gerhard Pawlica, Cello Born in 1951 in Munich, Germany. Musical education at the Richard Strauss Music school in Munich and at Yale University, USA. He was a student of Leslie Parnas and participated in a Chamber music curriculum with the Julliard Quartet. He attended master classes by Gregor Piatigorski and Pierre Fournier. He won a first prize at the "Spraque Hall Competition" in the USA. He has been a Cello soloist with the Opera Company and the Allgemeine Musikgesellschaft in Lucerne, Switzer­ land. Previously he played with the Munich Philharmonic under the direction of Sergiu Celibidache. He has per­ formed as a Solo and Chambermusic artist in Europe and in the USA Mr. Pawlica lives and teaches in Lucerne, Switzerland

Jonathan Allen, Violin Born in 1960 in Australia. Student of Jan Sedivka. First violin of the Petra Stringquartet, which reached a highpoint during Australia's two hundred year Celebra­ tion. He lives in Europe since 1987. He is also active in Australia and Canada. He's the concert master for the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Concerensemble of Salzburg. He attended master classes by Zoltan Saekely, Lor and Fenyves, Max _ Rost al and Sandor Vegh. Chamber concerts with Menehem Pressler, Gerard Stanick, Felix Galimir and others. He is a member of the Orchester of Zurich Opera since 1991. Mr. Allen lives in Zurich, Switzerland.
