LIONS MAKING 20TH PLAYOFF APPEARANCE - 11TH IN LAST 13 SEASONS • The University of North Alabama football program is making a record-tying 20th appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs after the Lions selection Sunday. Northwest Missouri State joins UNA as the only two programs since Division II was created in 1972 to have advanced to the football playoffs 20 times. • The University of North Alabama football program has advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 11 of the last 13 seasons (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015).

Wallace is Winningest Football Coach in Gulf South Conference History UNA Head Coach Bobby Wallace is the winningest football coach in Gulf South Conference history with 141 victories in 19 total years in the league (14-North Alabama, 5-West Alabama). With UNA's win at North Carolina-Pembroke in the second round of the 2013 playoffs, Wallace passed former Mississippi College Coach John Williams who had 122 wins at MC from 1972-90. Williams had mistakenly been listed in the GSC record book with 124 wins and the error was not dis- covered until the post-season, after Wallace had already broken the mark. Wallace has a 141-78-1 record in 19 seasons in the league with four GSC Championships and eight total NCAA Playoff Appearances.
