Get your bearings; start with a tour! by Jared Reisinger Ever wondered what’s REALLY going on at a dog show? Did you ever ask, “What is that judge doing in the show ring?” Or why did that dog go through the tunnel before he went on the see- saw? Or why is that dog’s hair cut that way? Our show tours are your opportunity to get the answers to these questions and many more, while learning the basics of this fascinating sport that we share with our pets. Tours are available on both Saturday and Sunday, March 10 & 11, 2018. Each tour is led by a seasoned member of Seattle Kennel Club who has been involved in dog shows for decades. In an effort to cater each tour to accommodate the unique interests of our tour attendees, we limit the size of each tour to approximately 6 children and adults (total) with special consideration allowed for large families and groups in attendance. For reservations, follow this link: http://seattledogshow.org/product/2018-show-tour-advance-reservation/ Tours run every hour on the hour between 9AM and 1PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Day-of-Show sign-ups will be available on a space-available basis at the Seattle Kennel Club Information Table near the main entrance. 3 Nederlandse Kooikerhondje: It’s Tongue-Twisting to Pronounce But Will Make a Big Statement Ranny Green | January 10, 2018 Photos by Linda Kohler OK, try to pronounce it.
