From the desk of the Superintendent: Martin Cox, Ed.D. WELCOME

DEAR CLARKSTOWN SCHOOL COMMUNITY: I hope you and your family members have enjoyed a relaxing and rewarding summer.

The last 18 months have been arguably the most challenging times in the history of public schools. Despite the challenges presented to all of us by the health pandemic, I am thankful and appreciative of the high level of perseverance by faculty, staff, administration and parents in order for our students to succeed to the best of their abilities.

Looking ahead to 2021-22, whatever the challenges that stand in our way, we will continue to work diligently in order to serve students while seeking to meet all of their needs: academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I welcome your partnership as we seek to stay strong and healthy together while seeking to move closer and closer to a sense of “normalcy” in our community and global society.

The District calendar contains dates for events that I hope become reality in our school community, depending on the safety protocols in place as a result of the pandemic state of affairs. Please visit the district website throughout the year for any potential updates and adjustments to our calendar.

Best wishes for a rewarding school year! Thank you.

Sincerely,

Martin D. Cox, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools

CCSD, in partnership with the community, will meet the individual academic Our and social-emotional needs of all students within a safe environment while MISSION empowering them to reach their full potential in a complex society.
