Assist members to achieve excellence in safety, and economic performance of CANDU stations by initiating and managing jointly-funded research and development • Provide the best, most cost-effective programs for our members • Ensure the development of highly-qualified personnel to participate in and support the industry • Augment and enhance the knowledge base for the nuclear industry • Utilize relevant national and international programs to leverage and complement COG R&D, including: o University Network of Excellence in Nuclear Engineering (UNENE) o Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) o Federal Nuclear Science and Technology Program (FNST) o Collaboration with international partners: EPRI, LWRS, OECD-NEA, IAEA, Halden HTO Project, etc.
