Today’s Fall League Five 1. Peoria OF/IF Billy Hamilton (CIN) broke the professional record for single -season stolen bases with 155 thefts between the California and Southern League in 2012. For his efforts, he was named MVP despite appearing in just 82 games. 2. Mesa OF Nick Castellanos (DET) was named MVP of the Futures Game in July after going 3-for-4 with a three-run home run. He also scored three times. 3. Surprise OF (BOS) was named outstanding postseason offensive player after batting .333/.385/.792 in seven games to help Pawtucket to their first IL title since 1984. 4. Salt River IF Matthew Skole (WSH) was the South Atlantic League MVP in 2012 after hitting .286/.438/.574 in 101 games. The former fifth- round selection out of Georgia Tech hit 27 home runs and drove in 92 runs. 5.
