Fasting six days RENEWING FAITH in Shawwaal

Question: Is fasting six days in Shawwaal a proven act of Sunnah? When did the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, fast THROUGH FEAR six days of Shawwaal? Answer: All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is His Slave and Messenger. AND HOPE There is no doubt that fasting six days in the month of Shawwaal is a confirmed act of Sunnah. It was narrated on the authority of Abu Ayyoob Al-Ansaari, may Allah be leased with him, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Who- ever fasts Ramadan and follows it with (fasting) six days in Shawwaal, it is as if he fasts the whole year.” [Muslim] Nothing was mentioned in the practical Sunnah about the way the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to fast the six days of Shawwaal. Moreover, there is nothing in the Sunnah that indicates that the Prophet, peace be upon him, observed fasting these six days or not, and this is therefore open to either possibility. We can neither confirm nor negate a certain action unless there is a confirming or negating Sharee‘ah text. To consider a certain act as a part of Sunnah, it is not necessary that it be proven by both the verbal and practi- cal Sunnah of the Prophtet, peace be upon him. Rather, there are some acts of the Sunnah which the Prophet, peace be upon him, did despite the fact that there are no relevant verbal statements, such as the Sunnah of I‘tikaaf (ritual seclusion in a mosque), for although there is not even a single authentic Hadeeth to indicate its virtue, it is established with full certainty that it is part of the Sun- nah because the Prophet, peace be upon him, constantly observed it. Similarly, some acts of the Sunnah were verbally and not practically established. The Prophet, peace be upon him, might have abandoned a certain act due to some reasons or to indicate that it is permissible to abandon it, such as the Dhuhaa (forenoon) Prayer. In an authentic Ha- deeth, ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said that she did not see the Prophet, peace be upon him, perform- ing it. However, the Hadeeths which encourage Muslims to perform it reach the highest degree of authenticity. Texts from the Qur’an: means): {Say, “To whom belongs Texts from the Sunnah (Prophetic hope at the time of our deaths. His slave and messenger. Combining more than one intention in a single deed is what is known among the people of knowledge as “At- Tashreek”. Its ruling is that if it is done in terms of means or in intersecting matters, it is valid and the required purpose of both acts of worship is achieved. For example, if someone performs Ghusl due to Janaabah on Friday for the sake of Friday and for the sake of eliminating his Janaabah, The Prophet’s Teachings then his Janaabah is eliminated and he attains the reward of having a bath on Friday. If one of the two acts of worship is not intended but the other is intended for itself, it is valid HERE is a large collection of the 15. TWO years after flying in thou- sands of dairy cows to beat the siege imposed by some neigh- bouring countries, Qatari milk producer Baladna has made its first exports. Baladna received its first cows a month after the boycott and set up a huge diary farm. It says it now supplies more than half of Qatar’s fresh milk and is exporting to Afghanistan, Yemen and Oman, and soon to Libya. Soon after the boycott was imposed, Doha developed new trade routes to replace its for- mer Gulf partners. In late 2017 it opened a $7.4 billion port designed to become a regional transport hub.
