COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE THE INTRODUCTION OF NEW CLASSES FOR “GOLDEN OLDIES” (RIDERS OVER 50 YEARS OF AGE) IN RING 1, SATURDAY

1 All exhibitors must sign an Agricultural Societies of NSW Inc. Indemnity & Waiver Form. 2 The classes in the Horse Section of this Schedule will be conducted under the competition rules of the Equestrian Federation of (NSW) Ltd (Inc. in NSW) Hack Council of Australasia. 3 Camping Fees: $15.00 per night per standard site (single passenger vehicle plus horse float, larger sites available upon application) plus $10 extra for electricity. Application forms are available from the Secretary. Camping permits will be issued and are to be displayed in vehicle front window at all times 4 Stalls need to be booked. Application forms are available from the Secretary and need to be accompanied with payment of $10.00 per horse. Large horse yards are also available and all are required to use the yards or stalls. Small / miniature horses may require additional ropes or panels to contain them in the stalls (to be supplied and installed by owner) 5 Local Classes are restricted to residents living within a 40 km radius of the Wellington Showground or Active members of the Wellington Club. Local horses or must be the property of the exhibitor 30 days before the show. 6 No Electric Fences are to be used on the Wellington Showground. 7 Stallions are only eligible to compete in classes stipulated. All stallions to be shown on a or chain & must be handled by a person over the age of 17 years. 8 Winners of Perpetual Trophies shall be directly responsible for their safe return at least two months before the Show. 9 Protest against an award must be lodged in writing with the Stewards of the Section or at the Secretary’s Office within half an hour of the award being made and must be accompanied by a fee of $50.00 (which is forfeited if the protest is deemed frivolous) 10 It is recommended ASA approved helmets be worn. 11 Registration papers for Breed/Coloured classes must be presented to Stewards on entering the ring. 12 Improper Behaviour. Outside assistance to competitors by word, be it radio or any other method in the Horse Ring Events will NOT be permitted. If in breach of this ruling, competitors and their exhibits may be dismissed from the event and from the Showground. Any competitor found to have breached the ASC disputes and disciplinary regulations will be investigated by the ASC Disciplinary Committee. 13 Drug testing may be carried out at this Show. Any competitor, exhibitor, owner, found to have breached the ASC Disputes and Disciplinary Rules will be investigated by the Disputes and Disciplinary Committee and dealt with accordingly. 14 Misconduct on the part of any competitor may result in the refusal of future entries. 15 Chief Stewards reserve the right to change, delete, vary or abandon any part of the Ring programme. 16 In classes where age is a condition of entry, a Birth Certificate must be produced on request. 17 Members of the EFA, Hack Council, Australian Society and Australian Society must produce proof of membership upon entering any event listed, if requested to do so. 18 No person will be allowed to enter the ring, with the exception of Stewards, Judges or Show Officials, while a competition is in progress. 19 PIC numbers must be written on Waiver Forms for RAS. This is a stipulation of the ASC Horse Committee. 20 Definition of a Novice - Horse or Rider who has not won a 1st place at any Agricultural Show in an individual (Open Ridden Hack or Rider) class at any Official Show. This Novice definition also applies to Show Hunters in the relevant competition. 21 Definition of an Intermediate Hack - Horse that has not been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an individual ridden hack class at any Royal Show and including RNA, Bathurst, Toowoomba, Launceston and Geelong Royals. This intermediate definition also applies to Show Hunters in the relevant competition. 22 Second Chance Show - If a horse wins Champion or Reserve or First in the First Round, it is not eligible for the Second Round. 23 Golden Oldies classes are for riders over 50 years of age and excludes Professional Competitors
