Nizam-e-Wasiyyat (The System of The Will)

A blessed scheme initiated by Hadrat Aqdas Masih-e-Maoudas under Divine Revelation in December 1905 Purpose • To spread knowledge of the Holy

• Spend on preachers, orphans, needy and new converts Divine Love & Righteousness

A source of attaining Allah’s love and higher levels of righteousness by

• Sacrificing for the propagation of true Islamic teachings &

• Creating means to fulfill our duties to fellow human beings A Special Reward

“Glad tiding for you that the field of winning Allah’s love is vacant. Every nation is in love with the world, and that which pleases God, the world is un-mindful of. Those who want to enter forcefully through this door now have an opportunity to display their mettle and earn a special reward from Allah.”

‘I was shown a place that was named Bahishti Maqbarah (Bahishti: of Paradise; Maqbarah: cemetery), and it was conveyed to me that it contained graves of such selected members of the community as are destined for Heaven.’

“God not only revealed that this graveyard is Bahishti but also said: ُ ْ َ فْی َ ُ ُّ َ ْحَ انِزل ِ ھا کل ر مت

Every kind of blessing has been descended onto this graveyard, and there is no single kind of blessing that the inmates of this graveyard have not partaken of.”

“I pray that may God bless it and that may He make this very piece of land Bahishti Maqbarah and make it a resting place of those members of the Jama‘at who are pure of heart and who have in reality given precedence to Faith over the world and who have renounced the love of the world --- contd. ‘I pray again: O my Mighty God! Make this piece of land fit for the graves of those of my Jama‘at who are pure of heart and who have in reality become solely for you, and in their works there is no adulteration of worldly objectives, Ameen O Lord of the worlds.’

“I pray again, for the third time, that O my Mighty and Benevolent! O the Forgiving and the Merciful God! Grant here room for graves to only those who truly believe in this chosen one of Yours, and entertain no hypocrisy, selfish ends or ill-will in themselves; and as faith and obedience rightfully deserve it, they carry out these obligations for Your sake --- contd. The Holy Prophetsaw said, “The worth of this world compared to the worth of the life in the Hereafter is the same as when one of you dips his finger in the ocean and then looks at it after taking it out to see how much water has stuck to it” (Tirmidhi) Paradise Drawn Closer

“….the matter of Wasiyyat: Allah has made it very important for us, and has drawn Paradise closer to us. Hence, those whose hearts have Faith and devotion but show procrastination towards Wasiyyat, I draw their attention towards it.”

“And I am convinced that by entering Wasiyyat progress in Faith inevitably does occur. Whereas it is Almighty Allah’s promise that He will have the Muttaqi (righteous one) buried in this piece of land, He then makes the one who enters Wasiyyat a Muttaqi too.”

The person will be required to:

• Lead a truthful righteous life

• Abstain from all that is prohibited

• Avoid shirk (association of something with God) and innovation in faith

• Make a testamentary disposition that one tenth of his/her entire property shall be devoted to the propagation of Islam and carrying out of teachings of the Holy Quran

• Will also contribute to meet expenses for the graveyard’s maintenance

In a letter to the USA Jama’at in 1956, Syedna Hadrat Musleh Maoudrz said, “The scheme is already in operation in Pakistan and India. It is my wish and I pray too, that America proves to be --- contd. A Special Message (contd).

‘--- the third such country as would adopt this scheme and thus participate very vastly in laying foundations for humanity’s welfare, prosperity and progress, Ameen.”

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vab said, “My wish is that earning members in every Jama’at in every country of the world as are Chanda payers at least 50% of them enroll in this grand system established by Hazrat Aqdas Masih-e- Maoudas.”

Huzooraba said, “Those well off among you enjoying good living conditions should strive to join this System. And office holders should be the foremost to examine themselves.”

“This is such a revolutionary Nizam that if a person joins it with true intentions, and after joining makes an honest effort towards self improvement, then with the blessings of this Nizam the long spiritual journey that would take years will be covered in days and the one which otherwise requires days will be covered in hours.”

The Holy Prophetsaw said, “Spending in the way of Allah when one is in health even though tight fisted, fearful of poverty and desirous of wealth, carries the greatest reward from Allah.”

The Promised Messiahas said, ‘And making of the Will that renders an unending financial help will become a source of perpetual reward for the one who makes it. And such a Will falls in the category of Khairat-e-Jarya (perpetual reward).
