WINTER 2019 Our life is to be governed by the word of God, and we need daily spiritual feeding. CWCI needs to pray for new ways to reach ladies to encourage them to get closer to God. Let us look for ways to minister to the needs of the ladies in our areas. Can I challenge us all to think about how we might make time and space for a special time to feed our spirits and go deeper with God. We can’t change the world, but maybe we can ask the Lord to show us one lady that we can get along side, to help them get out of their little box. May God Bless you all, as you dig down deep in to His word! Treasures from the Treasurer— Joan Gordon Hello ladies! God has truly blessed me in my 6 years as treasurer on Murray Regional Board. I have thoroughly drove to Horsham, where Joan enjoyed my conversations with Area had a yummy lunch waiting. We then hit the road and drove Co-ordinators and Leaders. These gave me insight into the variations in age, ex- for 3.5 hrs where we were meeting Diane who had left perience of the ACs, Leaders and their Wodonga and travelled to Swan Hill where she picked up groups. Also the passion for God’s Jeanne , who had caught a train at Woodend, and we all met Word and the KYB studies is at Mildura at the lovely house that was home for the next two inspirational! I was only able to visit nights, arriving at around 4pm. Your board members have been some ACs, Leaders and groups in my first 3 years but in these last 3 years visiting different areas around the region for our meetings and circumstances have changed that have to meet up for fellowship and encouragement with the local allowed me to travel throughout the committees in the area. Tuesday morning we were on the road again, headed for Robinvale, Historic Homestead, where again the hospitality of a warm room, and sumptuous morning tea had been arranged for us. 12 lovely ladies of all ages including one lady who at one time called the homestead home, enjoyed fellowship and conversations. The book stall, was popular again, and Jeanne did not disappoint in Frances Taylor, Robinvale encouraging us all to dig deep into our relationship with God. We were truly spoiled as we were each presented with a lovely goody bag of local produce to take home, by Frances Taylor who organised the venue and morning tea. A very relaxed and pleasant time was had at Robinvale, but we needed to get on the road again, to Sea Lake. Margaret Parker, Swan Hill Committee Jeanne with Robinvale ladies No one needed lunch, and we enjoyed the picturesque countryside as 5 of us travelled to Sea Lake Uniting Church for our next appointment with the lovely ladies of the Sea Lake /Berriwillock area. Diane left us at Robinvale to start her way back to Wodonga, taking an overnight to do it as she visited some of her KYB ladies along the way. At Sea lake, we were met with a warm welcome on a cold day, by Alison, who although there is no KYB group in Sea Lake or Berriwillock, galvanised her ladies into action, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with 10 ladies, who also provided……. you guessed it, more delicious, delightful and delectable afternoon tea! Jeanne again shared with us all more about the deep roots of our faith beginning at Genesis and weaving all the way through to Revelations, and in to our lives today. The bookstall was also popular as ladies availed themselves of some extra soul food. Finally we needed to say our goodbyes as Jeanne was taken off to Swan Hill to catch her train home the following morning, and the rest of us, hit the road again…. for home. Karen finally made it home to Kaniva at around 8pm Tuesday evening! We praise and thank God, for all His “girls” in the Mildura and north of our state, and for travelling mercies, and though we were tired, our hearts were full of thanks and wonder, that there are faithful ladies shining their faith lights and love for the Lord in every area of our region. -May God Bless you all! - Kerryn for us all on Regional Board.
