Digging Deep Thank You Committees for Making My Job Easy When I Ask for Annual Financial Statements – You Have Been Very Competent and Helpful WINTER 2019 Our life is to be governed by the word of God, and we need daily spiritual feeding. CWCI needs to pray for new ways to reach ladies to encourage them to get closer to God. Let us look for ways to minister to the needs of the ladies in our areas. Can I challenge us all to think about how we might make time and space for a special time to feed our spirits and go deeper with God. We can’t change the world, but maybe we can ask the Lord to show us one lady that we can get along side, to help them get out of their little box. May God Bless you all, as you dig down deep in to His word! Treasures from the Treasurer— Joan Gordon Hello ladies! God has truly blessed me in my 6 years as treasurer on Murray Regional Board. Fellowship with the other board members, and meeting my counterparts from all over Australia at Head Office in Sydney were wonderful highlights. Digging Deep Thank you committees for making my job easy when I ask for annual financial statements – you have been very competent and helpful. Meeting lots of you along the “Let your roots go down deep” way has been enlightening and an encouraging part of Board work. AND the books balanced! Colossians 2:7 Tea Break at Regional Board in Mildura Prayer Point: Vacant Positions on Regional Board All Regional Boards as those of us in our last term seek God’s direction. Hello Ladies, Well time has certainly flown. I am nearing At 9.00 Sunday morning 29th the end of my 6 July, Karen left home and years as KYB Administrator. God has picked up Kerryn at 9.30 in taught me a lot as I have had to regularly seek His wisdom in working out ways to Kaniva, and then drove to do things, especially in the area of Nhill to pick up Josie, and then computer programs. I have thoroughly drove to Horsham, where Joan enjoyed my conversations with Area had a yummy lunch waiting. We then hit the road and drove Co-ordinators and Leaders. These gave me insight into the variations in age, ex- for 3.5 hrs where we were meeting Diane who had left perience of the ACs, Leaders and their Wodonga and travelled to Swan Hill where she picked up groups. Also the passion for God’s Jeanne , who had caught a train at Woodend, and we all met Word and the KYB studies is at Mildura at the lovely house that was home for the next two inspirational! I was only able to visit nights, arriving at around 4pm. Your board members have been some ACs, Leaders and groups in my first 3 years but in these last 3 years visiting different areas around the region for our meetings and circumstances have changed that have to meet up for fellowship and encouragement with the local allowed me to travel throughout the committees in the area. This time, we decided to go where we Murray Region visiting. These have don’t have a committee and conduct a small safari to encourage been great times as I could then put fac- es to the names on my lists. Thank you the faithful Christian ladies in the Mildura/Mallee Region. for welcoming me into your homes! After settling in, we commenced our time together in prayer and It has been a privilege to share with you praise for travelling mercies, our wonderful committees and your joys, highs, lows and sadness. Over speakers who bring us God’s word and encouragement at our the 6 years I have, along with some groups, seen their loved Leaders go events, and for the upcoming events we were having with home to be with their Lord and Saviour . Jeanne Van Groningen over the next two days. Monday saw One of the Ladies in one group, was us up and going, meeting at 8.30 with devotions, followed by willing to step out in faith and take on our business discussions. After lunch, we were meeting with the Leadership of the group to continue studying God’s Word together! What a the lovely Ruth Jackson at the Church of Christ. We had a blessing she is! My work on Regional wonderful afternoon in fellowship and teaching from Jeanne Board, continues till the end of the year , and a delicious afternoon tea provided by the KYB ladies in and I am praying that God will reveal the Mildura. 33 ladies attended and Josie very ably chaired the Lady He is calling to carry on this ministry in to the future Blessings, Di event, and set the relaxed and welcoming scene. Ladies also enjoyed browsing in the pop up book store we provided from Jacobs Well in Horsham. Monday evening after dinner, we spent some more time in prayer and praise for the day past, our personal prayer points and the events for the next day. Horsham. –speaker Jeanne having a browse. Tuesday morning we were on the road again, headed for Robinvale, Historic Homestead, where again the hospitality of a warm room, and sumptuous morning tea had been arranged for us. 12 lovely ladies of all ages including one lady who at one time called the homestead home, enjoyed fellowship and conversations. The book stall, was popular again, and Jeanne did not disappoint in Frances Taylor, Robinvale encouraging us all to dig deep into our relationship with God. We were truly spoiled as we were each presented with a lovely goody bag of local produce to take home, by Frances Taylor who organised the venue and morning tea. A very relaxed and pleasant time was had at Robinvale, but we needed to get on the road again, to Sea Lake. Margaret Parker, Swan Hill Committee Jeanne with Robinvale ladies No one needed lunch, and we enjoyed the picturesque countryside as 5 of us travelled to Sea Lake Uniting Church for our next appointment with the lovely ladies of the Sea Lake /Berriwillock area. Diane left us at Robinvale to start her way back to Wodonga, taking an overnight to do it as she visited some of her KYB ladies along the way. At Sea lake, we were met with a warm welcome on a cold day, by Alison, who although there is no KYB group in Sea Lake or Berriwillock, galvanised her ladies into action, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with 10 ladies, who also provided……. you guessed it, more delicious, delightful and delectable afternoon tea! Jeanne again shared with us all more about the deep roots of our faith beginning at Genesis and weaving all the way through to Revelations, and in to our lives today. The bookstall was also popular as ladies availed themselves of some extra soul food. Finally we needed to say our goodbyes as Jeanne was taken off to Swan Hill to catch her train home the following morning, and the rest of us, hit the road again…. for home. Karen finally made it home to Kaniva at around 8pm Tuesday evening! We praise and thank God, for all His “girls” in the Mildura and north of our state, and for travelling mercies, and though we were tired, our hearts were full of thanks and wonder, that there are faithful ladies shining their faith lights and love for the Lord in every area of our region. -May God Bless you all! - Kerryn for us all on Regional Board. Josie Chairing at Sea Lake Praise Point Praise God for our Regional Board Safari, and the ladies that came, also that some Positions on Board have been filled for next term.
