A Guide to Praying Colossians

For yourself, your friends, and your family

All prayers taken from www.prayscripture.org

Paul’s letter to the believers at Colosse gives an in-depth description of who Christ is and what the life of His followers should look like as they rely on Him as completely sufficient to meet every need. In Colossians, Paul addresses so many aspects of the Christian life: marriage, parenting, loving others, salvation, work, and much more.

This booklet will guide you to pray for . . .  a firm faith that is rooted and built up in Jesus.  God to help us put on the new self, renewed in the knowledge and image of God.  God to help us set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.  peace to rule in our hearts and His word to dwell in us richly.

Pray through Colossians and watch how Jesus changes everything!

How do I use this booklet?

 Skim the prayer guide and find a verse or prayer that speaks to you. Ask yourself, “Who does this apply to?” and insert that person’s name(s) in to the provided spaces (or insert your own name!)  Choose someone (or several people) to commit to pray for daily. Select a prayer each day and insert their names into the provided spaces in each prayer.  If you’re praying for multiple people, you can. . .

 Pray for one person at a time and repeat the verses for each person.  OR put all of the names together and pray for them at one time

There’s no right or wrong way to pray scripture! Just commit, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, and start praying.
