Charles Daniel Uhl, Jr. December 13, 1938 - September 9, 2016

The world has lost an adventurer, mentor, comedian...the most amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend with the passing of Charles Daniel Uhl Jr., 77, on September 9, 2016.

Charles was born December 13, 1938 in Anaconda, Montana to Charles and Mayme (Patti) Uhl. He spent his youth enjoying the outdoors, playing marbles, releasing train cars through the town, and pestering his little sister, Judy. Charles graduated from Anaconda High School in 1956. Six days after graduation, he was drafted in the United States Navy. He served two years active duty, traveling the Pacific on the USS George Clymer. Upon his return, he began the manager training program at F.W. Woolworths in Billings, Montana. On July 7, 1958, he met his million dollar baby at the five and ten cent store. Vera was the love of his life. They were married on January 20, 1959. It was here they began their lifetime of adventure together.

Chuck, as he was known through his adulthood, worked a majority of his life in the satellite industry. His thirst for knowledge and charismatic personality made him a respected leader in his field. Chuck loved to hunt and fish, boat and ski, and race anything that went fast. He was a voracious reader and collector of cars. Business and pleasure trips took him to all fifty states and many fabulous places across the globe.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Uhl; children, Kimberly Newton and husband, Greg, Dan Uhl, Angela Lamb and husband, Marc; grandchildren, Justin, Adrienne, Brenden, Jordan, Jackson, Sydney, and Tristan; great-grandchildren, Makenna, NaDa, Izzy, Dax, Addy, Evelyn, and Lily; sister Judy Fink and husband, Bill; cousins, Paco Roseth and wife, Terri, Debbie Roseth and husband, Joe, and Ron Newman; and numerous special cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mayme Uhl.
