Dear Parents,

Barn Owls Trip to Walsingham

On Tuesday, Y5 & Y6 went to Walsingham Shrine to begin our new RE topic. The children learnt about the Easter story and the history of the shrine. Evie-Rose said, “I liked lighting the candles because it made me feel very peaceful.” Keiran said, “I learnt that Jesus washed the disciples’ feet at the last supper.”

Year 6 - Crucial Crew, Thursday 12th March On Thursday 12th March, Mrs Allen will be taking all Year 6 children to Letton Hall at to attend a safety awareness afternoon run by Norfolk Police and Fire services.

Tawny Owls trip – Wednesday 18th March Tawny Owls trip to Lynn Museum on Wednesday 18th March. Please remember to complete consent form on Parentmail by Friday 13th March.

Snowy Owls trip - Tuesday 31st March Mr Kerkham has arranged a school trip for all children in Snowy Owls. Visiting ‘The Ark Farm’ at a DNEAT school in Gorleston, then to visit the Tide and Time Museum in Gt. Yarmouth. All children will bring home today an information letter regarding the trip.

A big thank you to ‘The Friends of Brisley School’ for funding the transport costs of our school trips.

Year 4 Level One Cycling Course - Thursday 26th March The Road Safety Officer, will be in school for the morning on 26th March, offering children in Year 4 the chance to complete Level One Cycling training. Parents are asked to provide a roadworthy bike and helmet. Children will bring home today an information letter and consent form to be completed and signed if you wish your child to take part.

Snowy Owls Chocolate Workshop - Thursday 19th March Mrs Owen has arranged a Chocolate Workshop with a local Chocolatier. Please complete consent on Parentmail by 13th March.

Request for Newspapers – donations of old papers would be gratefully received for Art lessons. Please hand into the school office. Many thanks

World Book Day To celebrate World Book Day, lots of children dressed up as their favourite book character. In Barn Owls, we watched a video about 3 famous authors describing where they get their ideas. We were inspired to begin writing our own stories. Snowy Owls pretended they were from a radio station and interviewed each other about their favourite books and story characters.

Breakfast Club 7.30 – 8.35 a.m. daily, open to all ages, costs £4.00 per session including breakfast. Slots can be booked on line via Parentmail.

Playvan Toddler Group 9.00 – 10.30 a.m. every Monday , just turn up, no need to book. (next session will be Monday 9th March) Collections In the school reception area we have collection boxes for:-  used Inkjet cartridges  crisp packets for Cat Protection at  EDP ‘Plant to Plate’ – Bonus tokens will be in EDP editions on 13th, 21st & 24th March
