It is part of the traditional district of Salten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Fauske. Other villages include Nystad, Straumsnes, and Sulitjelma. The municipality borders Sweden in the east and the municipalities of Sørfold to the north, Bodø to the west, and Saltdal to the southeast. The town is located on the northern shore of Skjerstad Fjord. The Coat of arms was chosen to represent Fauske’s legacy as a center for trade and transportation along the fjord. There are several Marble quarries located in the municipality, which alongside Salten Kraftsamband and Fauske Lysverk make up the largest employers in the area. Source: Wikipedia Fauske is a community teeming with activity behind closed doors. Cafés and classrooms are home to clubs of everything from radio enthusiasts to dance troupes. A clarinet case on the bus, or an antiquated military jeep passing you on the street might be your only clues to the life transpiring around you. The activities are shaped by the space in which they are performed. Can these everyday activities be made extraordinary simply by providing a new spatial context for the performance? Fauske Municipality has for several years desired a community center for it’s cultural activities. Rodeo and Dyrø Moen architects won a competition for a new “Allaktivitetshus” in Fauske back in 2008 titled “Turbinen”1 The estimated size of their proposal was 4000m2 containing a very broad program: Multipurpose hall, cinema, Library, Youth center, offices and more. -

New records of the rare gastropods Erato voluta and Simnia patula, and first record of Simnia hiscocki from Norway. Fauna norvegica 37: 20-24. New records of rare gastropod species are reported. A live specimen of Erato voluta (Gastropoda: Triviidae), a species considered to have a far more southern distribution, has been found from outside the Trondheimsfjord. The specimen was sampled from a gravel habitat with Modiolus shells at 49–94 m depth, and was found among compound ascidians, its typical food resource. Live specimens of Simnia patula (Caenogastropoda: Ovulidae) have during the later years repeatedly been observed on locations on the coast of central Norway, which is documented by in situ observations. In Egersund on the southwest coast of Norway a specimen of Simnia hiscocki was in March 2017 observed for the first time from Norwegian waters, a species earlier only found on the south-west coast of England. Also this was documented by pictures and in situ observations. The specimen of Simnia hiscocki was for the first time found on the octocoral Swiftia pallida. doi: 10.5324/fn.v37i0.2160. Strategic Plan 2011-2016: The NTNU University Museum -revised version 2014-2016. Our history The NTNU University Museum has its origins in the Norwegian Royal Society of Sciences and Letters (DKNVS), which was founded in 1760. The museum is based on the first organized scientific collections in Norway. The Storting (Norwegian Parliament) resolved to form the University of Trondheim in 1968, and the museum was transferred to the University on 1 April 1984. Further reorganization after 1 January 1996 led to the establishment of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). In 2005, the NTNU University Museum was raised to the same level as the university faculties, with representation on the Council of Deans and the University Research Committee. Our vision The NTNU University Museum embraces the world! Our role The NTNU University Museum develops and communicates knowledge of nature, culture, and science. It safeguards and preserves scientific collections, making them available for research, management and dissemination. Our values Our values are clarity, openness and collaboration. Nye Fylkes- Og Kommunenummer - Trøndelag Fylke Stortinget Vedtok 8
Ifølge liste Deres ref Vår ref Dato 15/782-50 30.09.2016 Nye fylkes- og kommunenummer - Trøndelag fylke Stortinget vedtok 8. juni 2016 sammenslåing av Nord-Trøndelag fylke og Sør-Trøndelag fylke til Trøndelag fylke fra 1. januar 2018. Vedtaket ble fattet ved behandling av Prop. 130 LS (2015-2016) om sammenslåing av Nord-Trøndelag og Sør-Trøndelag fylker til Trøndelag fylke og endring i lov om forandring av rikets inddelingsnavn, jf. Innst. 360 S (2015-2016). Sammenslåing av fylker gjør det nødvendig å endre kommunenummer i det nye fylket, da de to første sifrene i et kommunenummer viser til fylke. Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB) har foreslått nytt fylkesnummer for Trøndelag og nye kommunenummer for kommunene i Trøndelag som følge av fylkessammenslåingen. SSB ble bedt om å legge opp til en trygg og fremtidsrettet organisering av fylkesnummer og kommunenummer, samt å se hen til det pågående arbeidet med å legge til rette for om lag ti regioner. I dag ble det i statsråd fastsatt forskrift om nærmere regler ved sammenslåing av Nord- Trøndelag fylke og Sør-Trøndelag fylke til Trøndelag fylke. Kommunal- og moderniseringsdepartementet fastsetter samtidig at Trøndelag fylke får fylkesnummer 50. Det er tidligere vedtatt sammenslåing av Rissa og Leksvik kommuner til Indre Fosen fra 1. januar 2018. Departementet fastsetter i tråd med forslag fra SSB at Indre Fosen får kommunenummer 5054. A manifest partner Research and Innovation Strategy for Møre og Romsdal 2016-2020 Research and innovation strategy 2016-2020 2 FOREWORD Foreword The region of Møre og Romsdal is currently in a period of change. The regional authority has therefore developed a research and innovation strategy to meet the challenges faced by businesses in the region. This strategy has been compiled by applying the "Smart Specialisation" method, in which the interaction between businesses, research groups and the public support system is a central aspect. The region of Møre og Romsdal has been awarded a place on a European Commission study together with sev- eral other regions in Europe, and the study involving Møre og Romsdal comprises part of the knowledge platform on which the new strategy has been based. The fact that our region has been studied and assessed by external parties eliminates any reservations that our new strategy has been based on myths and theories that cannot be documented. The analyses that were part of the study provided us with excellent guidelines in terms of both content and process for the strategy, and these have broadly been followed in the strategy process. The strategy document shows us what our target areas must be if we are to ensure competitive businesses for the future. These are in principle as follows: • A general need for change and a higher rate of inno- vation within businesses. • A reduction in petroleum-related activities with con- sequences for large parts of the maritime industry. • The green shift and its requirements on sustainability and reduced environmental impact.
