It was the longest point streak by a defenseman in the NHL this season, a franchise record for a defenseman and the longest by a blueliner since Philadelphia’s Shayne Gostisbehere (15 games) in 2015-16. - Josi is one eight defensemen in the last 20 years to record a point streak of at least 10 games. - At 12 games, Josi owned the second-longest point streak among all skaters in franchise history. J-P Dumont holds the Preds record at 16 games (8g-14a) in 2007-08. - He reached 43 points (14g-29a) in 40 games. It was the most points a Predators player had through 40 games in franchise history (previous high: Steve Sullivan, 42 points in 2006-07). - Josi tallied an assist on Jan. 18 to give him 35 points (9g-26a) in his last 34 games. - Josi posted a career-high five-game goal streak (7g) from Dec. 16-23. FINLAND'S FINEST - Pekka Rinne won his 357th career game on Jan. 18 vs. Buffalo, the 20th-most in NHL history. Tom Barrasso sits 19th on the list (369); Andy Moog is 18th (372). - His 357 career wins are the third-most by a European-born goalie, trailing only Dominik Hasek (389) and Henrik Lundqvist (458). - He scored his first career goal on Jan. 9 at Chicago, becoming the 12th goaltender in NHL history to accomplish the feat and first since Phoenix’s Mike Smith did on Oct. 19, 2013 vs. Detroit. He also became just the seventh goalie in NHL history to shoot the puck into an empty net for a goal; Smith was also the last to accomplish that feat. - Rinne recorded his third shutout of the season with a 31-save performance against the Hurricanes on Nov. 29. The effort moved him into a tie for second in the NHL in shutouts. It also was his 58th career shutout, tying him for 19th in League history in the category. - Rinne set the franchise record for the longest point streak by a goalie to begin a season at 10 games (8-0-2), breaking Tomas Vokoun’s mark of eight (7-0-1) set in 2006-07.

SMITH ON FIRE - Craig Smith scored his first game-winning goal of the season on Jan. 18 vs. Buffalo. - After beginning the season with two goals in his first 16 games, Smith has scored nine in his last 15 games. He’s recorded 12 points (9g-3a) over that stretch, which began on Dec. 17. - Smith is more than halfway to 20 goals on the season; he is one of two players in team history (Filip Forsberg) to post five different 20- goal seasons.
