Bulldog Days 2020 Information for Parents and Families

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Congratulations to your student on being admitted to the Class of 2024! We are looking forward to welcoming more than 1,200 admitted students to campus in April for Days, a 3-day program designed just for the class of 2024. We have designed Bulldog Days primarily for admitted students, but parents and family members are also welcome to attend. There is no cost associated with Bulldog Days, but please note that we are only able to provide meals and on-campus housing for admitted students. Parents and family members who visit campus during Bulldog Days should plan to stay in a nearby hotel and eat in New Haven’s restaurants or in the Yale dining halls for a fee. Information on hotels is available on the Bulldog Days information page of the Admitted Students Website.

Bulldog Days includes events that are specifically for parents/guardians – including a welcome reception, a discussion of financial aid, a discussion of this year’s admissions process, and a panel titled “Who’s Looking Out for My Student.” Many other events will be open to both students and parents/guardians. Students will receive a paper copy of the full program schedule at registration, and parents will be able to pick up a condensed copy of the schedule as well. With the exception of the Welcome Activities and “Late Night Activities” with student groups, all events on the Tentative Schedule (available on the Bulldog Days information page of the Admitted Students Website) are open to both students and family members.

Bulldog Days is designed as an open house. Students and their families are welcome to arrive early or stay late, and attendance at all events is optional. For those with extra time on campus, we recommend a trip to one of Yale’s world-class museums or a stroll through New Haven’s many historic neighborhoods.

When students complete the registration form for Bulldog Days, they will be asked to include an email address for parents/guardians who will be visiting. As Bulldog Days approaches, we will email parents/guardians with additional up-to-date information. If you have questions or concerns in the meantime, please send us an email at [email protected] or call the Admissions Office at 203-432-9316.

We look forward to welcoming you to Yale for Bulldog Days!

Sincerely,

Hannah Mendlowitz Director of Recruitment Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions
